We are not officially affiliated with Square Enix, so we have no influence over actual ingame events, nor can we hand out items.

You'll just have to wait until they run the FF16 crossover event again or until the set appears in the optional item store, but either likely won't happen for months or longer.

Time to be cheeky and use a bunch of shared models. "Oh no that's the nier striking boots, not scouting so it counts." (Not actually going to do this)

That said while stuff like Nier is hyperbole, how different does something need to be anyway. Like I'm assuming something like "I'm using the casting version of the boots instead of the healing ones because these have gold instead of silver" wouldn't be enough, or like "this one has a pauldron and this one doesn't". It is probably a bit subjective and hard to quantify...

Using identical items that have slight dying differences between jobs/roles is legit and will be allowed. The only requirement is that the pieces weren't prevously available for your job, and if they look good then they look good. If there's no visible difference then we won't tell you no, but you're less likely to get votes

So, if I have a glam that has the following:

Weapon: BLM
Head: Physical Ranged
Body: RDM
Hands: Physical Ranged
Legs: Previous In-Game Event Item
Feet: MCH

Is that following all the rules or am I missing something, maybe? Just want to be sure.

Yes that would work for both contest types. Strictly speaking listing the exact weapon isn’t required to do.

Hi! I'm confused on how role troll is supposed to work.
Say i wanted to resemble a tank role, would I:

A) take a screenshot of me on that tank class and not be allowed to use any pieces previously available to the tank classes before 7.4?

B) Take a screenshot on a completely different class, let's say healer, and be allowed to use healing pieces and pieces from other classes as long as I didnt use tank pieces?

C) take a screenshot on say a healer class and not be able to use healer pieces, but can use tank pieces to resemble that tank class?

Or D) take a screenshot on a healer class, trying to resemble a tank class but not be allowed to use healer or tank pieces?

Hopefully that question made sense lol

Troll glam is basically let’s say you want to troll people into thinking you are a healer the way you do this is by using pieces that resembling healer pieces without being actual healer pieces!

@fleet monolith sub rewards won't be counted as premium and glamour items can be used, however you still need to make sure to follow the rule of using the listed minimum amount of previously unusable gear for the category

Both contests need a minimum of 2 items previously unwearable by your class/job, the rest can be glamour items or more combat/crafting gear

It’s a very low priority. There’s not much progress in the technical overhaul needed for what we want out of it, the massive amount of questions we’d need to change/add since we last updated it (mid-late Shadowbringers, IIRC), and the low interest from people actually answering the questions when we did run it
