When holding an item in your hands, either supplies like sheet metal, or equipped items like a bucket, weed spray, or seeds, you cannot open the Construction Panel.
When this happens, there is no indication of what the problem is, so it would be nice if the held item would be automatically dropped/unequipped to open the Panel, or your character could say a message, maybe something like “I need my hands free for that.”

This is not exactly the right section for this kind of suggestion; it's better suited for feedback. I'll pass it on to the game designers, but I'm not sure if we'll be adding it. It might be an unnecessary complication. Our character already interacts with the hand when the tab menu is open, so the visual aspect seems sufficient to me, but I could be wrong.
