i think it's just a different hires fix method that allows a little extra tweaking more like what you can do in comfyui

It's deepshrink. It resizes unet instead of using 2 stage generation with img2img. I used it a bit when it was released and found that optimal setting varied a lot based on resolution, prompt, and model, and it also had problems with Adetailer. At best it gave images that were a little worse than I would expect with normal hires fix and most of the time it was a lot worse.
