I'll explain LoRAs how I explained it to my friend, imagine you got a art machine, and it knows how to generate art for you, but it doesn't know how to do certain things unless you plug cartridges with info about those things, and LoRAs are those cartridges that you plug into the machine so it can know how to do waht you want

Yeah that means that the base model will work on the 80% and then the refiner takes over for the last 20%.

SDXL has 2 parts, base model and refiner. Think of it as one doing the heavy lifting and the other one polishing and making a bit better.

That indicates the model uses pickle imports. it's a warning because pickle imports could potentially be used to load malware. Pretty much any .ckpt or .pth models of any type that you use in SD will utilize pickle imports. Not in Auto1111 WebUI. There might be some that work that way. In WebUI, the "normal" way to outpaint is a script in the img2img tab, but its a bad method because it takes very little context from the image. The method in my guide that I linked uses the txt2img tab instead which is a little unintuitive, but it works much better and also allows using hires fix.
