nah, do 1 full long rest with supplies, and do 1-2 extra partial rests without supplies to make sure you're caught up on cutscenes. there are only a couple points in the game that get messed up by resting and they are generally made pretty obvious.

Pretty much all of the times that long resting matters someone will say that something will happen tomorrorow. The only exception I can think of is when you get to Grymforge, you need to deal with Nere otherwise he will die behind the rubble.

I've finally located the issue of Civit

So, if you generate images with a model that has letters that aren't normal, like probably Unicode, Civit will go kaboom when detecting metadata

The aurora version I was using had japanese letters in the name

Oh yeah btw, just before I left it seems my whole Linux partition corrupted, long story long, I decided to delete and reinstall windows because of an issue and decided that I might as well expand my Linux partition, I deleted the windows partition and was in the midst of moving the unallocated partition next to the Linux partition so I could expand it (you have to do that) when the program I used to do that caught an error which left my Linux partition in a state where its type is "unknown" instead of ext4, which basically means that my computer doesn't know how to interact with it. I tried restoring it in every way that I could (testdisk) but even that didn't work. My hypothesis as to what happened is that basically when moving a partition it splits it into parts and moves them one by one and I guess because of the error it couldn't move some of the parts of the partition, so like even if I manage to restore everything I still need some way to like combine these parts.
