myyyyy gawd! you are a wizard. nice job!! it's impressive

#

is it possible to play with it? 🙂

hardy cipher
#

if you download the right user interface

#

bit of a learning curve if you're new to all of this. but most of the images I post have the metadata in them

#

well a lot of them do

#

so it'll load my setup, or if you like something someone else posts same thing

ionic gulch
#

so you use 3x ip adapter? or do you mix ip adapter and revision/img2img?

#

(not at home so i can't take a look at your workflow)

hardy cipher
#

well 2 ipadapters, but one only run model data through and the second only use the clipvision

#

and then a second clip g clipvision

#

and then a controlnet canny

#

it can work out a lot differently depending on how you adjust things, but prompts are pretty much automated unless you choose to take control of it for whatever reason

#

so I can just plug random images in and start rendering

ionic gulch
#

ok, sounds too complicated to understand without looking at the workflow - especially the part with the model data and clipvision. will check it when i'm back home.

# indigo carbon <@1051282294293414031> ? I'm messing with image blend again and there is a new I...

sorry, just saw this. currently using clip g and the ipadapter "pytorch_model" clipvision model in the workflow I'm messing with. I'm still in the testing phase with this stuff and haven't worked out precisely what the difference is in their behavior as far as the render is concerned. I've got clip h to work but it's tricky and had to switch things up. don't really see what advantage it serves other than using slightly fewer resources

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
#

your approach is definitely more precise

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
#

the setup I have can really take on different forms depending on the parameter settings

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
#

I do have the contrlonet on the last image so it can take control if I want, but it's not necessary. third image is really superfluous and optional

#

nice, so you're getting the hang of the placement of things too. it's weird how ti works out

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
#

perhaps. never used mj. but sort of got mocked when I suggested that I could blend images alright 😞

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
#

but yeah, I think this is the way. and over time you'll be able to refine it more. I'm trying to get into the data a bit more and see how it's processed

#

well if I could figure out how to run a second ipadapter in the same model flow I'd probably just do that tbh. but need to understand it better before I'll be able to figure that out

#

my main thing was input 3 images and have them all blend. plus it kind of covers all the bases of what a person could want. but you could definitely turn everything down on the third image. even have it set up to input an empty latent rather than the image

indigo carbon
#

the workflow I made seems to be really consistent at blending images while achieving qualities really close to pure SDXL txt2img. this takes about 20-ish seconds per 4k image like this due to AIT. also, can do batch1-4

hardy cipher
#

yeah, that's definitely a cleaner approach

indigo carbon
#

also the VIT-H IPA seems better than the normal one. let alone it's way more efficient

hardy cipher
#

well I had errors with it at first

#

I may end up overhauling my approach soon. just have to figure out how and why first, lol

indigo carbon
#

I will release this once I'm 100% sure it's exceptionally refined though

floral island
stone fossil
hardy cipher
#

well I wasn't planning on making anything other people would use. it just kind of worked out and so I showed my approach to a few people

#

normally I build things until I don't like them anymore and knock them down like legos

indigo carbon
#

also this approach allows for a styles feature like on my normal txt2img AIT workflow

#

by the way, not 20 seconds; 16 seconds*

hardy cipher
#

damn. not bad

#

the thing I made is bulky. but then I wasn't going for efficiency per se. I was just trying to see how all the tools would work together at a certain point. because why not?

#

really just want to focus on the ipadapter though, at least as the my primary focal point.

upbeat summit
indigo carbon
#

So far it's a yes imo, but I'll let it sit for a few days

upbeat summit
#

cool - looking forward to try it out!

indigo carbon
#

The way I implemented here also allows for a styles feature, just like with the normal AIT workflow

#

I did all the reading of how IPA is meant to be inferred, than executed it in ComfyUI as just a presampler to just make a vague latent that's precisely the 2 images combined, than passes to BLIP to turn into text and the normal Ksampler with AIT, while using BLIP's answer and the unfinished latent with SDXL loaded with AIT on the normal Ksampler. This allows for image blending that so far seems to outdo MJ in some cases, while taking ~16 seconds per image

#

I love how it just placed the cow on the bench here hahaha

indigo carbon
#

It should theoretically work with even batch size, but I haven't tried that yet

#

I think we could refine the BLIP question though. Currently I have the BLIP question set to: what does this image consist of?

upbeat summit
#

I only worked with BLIP in auto mode

hardy cipher
#

Default was background question

#

Certainly room for improvement

shy kelp
#

if only the hands weren't fucked

indigo carbon
#

We need to come up with an ultimate universal question

hardy cipher
#

Could also use more than one and ask more than one question

shy kelp
#

question, so does the sdxl model have more refined models? like one for anime, one for this and that?

hardy cipher
indigo carbon
#

I think what I have it set to makes promising results (checkout recent stuff I've posted), but with stuff like BLIP there should be an ultimate question possible

hardy cipher
#

That works too. I'd thought about other models as well, but want something efficient

indigo carbon
#

Like, look at this, man

shy kelp
#

when i try using the sdxl model on the web ui, it just switches back to the model i had selected before

I'll check out your workflow in a bit and see how it works for me

I read that it was pixel diffusion, but I actually don't know anything about it. So thst might be incorrect

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
upbeat summit
indigo carbon
#

Maybe what they used way back was some kind of pixel diffusion, but now it's just paid latent diffusion

indigo carbon
#

Pixel diffusion does allow for image blending without the need for something like IPA, but it makes a whole lot of new issues, so not ideal.

hardy cipher
#

Also needs some serious hardware

shy kelp
indigo carbon
shy kelp
#

size mismatch i guess

visual glade
#

indigo carbon

oh so i cannot run sdxl models on the old ui I had?

#

you can run sdxl in webui

visual glade
#

yeah looks like you need to update

indigo carbon
hardy cipher
visual glade
#

did you have to build a copy of the model with AIT support?

#

I mean a copy with IPA?

indigo carbon
indigo carbon
visual glade
#

pixel diffusion is just not efficient

indigo carbon
#

And not as good. It's old tech

visual glade
#

it makes more sense to compress the images and do diffusion on that compressed version

indigo carbon
#

Only good thing about pixel diffusion is it would be easier to blend images with it; but I seem to have found a way to blend images using SDXL

shy kelp
#

the navel returns grrr

#

which file do i change if it tells me python not found?

indigo carbon
# visual glade I mean a copy with IPA?

Also, I did try that at first, but the first step for my solution was to switch to IPA VIT-H, and that's compatible with AIT and better than the normal one. Then made a workflow that uses that in a smart way (see stuff I posted here) and that's pretty much it

#

Takes about 16s to do this, and the results usually beat MJ's blend

#

Also allows for a styles feature like I did on the normal AIT workflow

#

But honestly, I will need to take a damn break before I start working with OneFlow; haven't touched that yet, and I don't really want to. Speed is already more than enough with AIT, I have a feeling it will be a nightmare to do with OneFlow

A lot of these sites make the same prompting mistake, e.g. look at Scott Adams. That's a bunch of portraits of the artist Scott Adams but not even in his style! He's a cartoonist. When you push the model to perform a certain task that doesn't align, you can blow right through learned traits and get vanilla behavior. This is especially true if the training is weak.

uncut fiber
#

i know how aply artist, how to apply medium?

Quilling for me as English itself is very challenging, difficult but i think i got it

hardy cipher
#

this isn't a new issue, and I don't think it's indicative of weak training. it just means the ai is misinterpreting what is wanted and creating an image of the artist themselves instead of their style. could be indicative of a suboptimal prompt template though. but I'm sure they considered such things

I got extremely discouraged after not finding a way to fix the issues with my high res fix V2. It still offers the best upscale quality I have seen for SDXL, but it has a lot of caveats

For some styles, it's issues are actually beneficial. It is insanely good at upscaling water color. Can easily go to 4096x with it, and it looks stunning

I've seen several reformed trolls around these parts. don't recall infidelis trolling though

cinder aspen
#

@hardy cipher we had some heated debates before

#

Whatever makes me a troll, i dunno

high skiff
#

no, I had my account deleted on purpose cause they kept double charging me, they "reimbursed me" with free sub months, of which I never actually saw. Then once I deleted my account entirely (can't even sign into it anymore), they kept charging me for 6 months, to which they then told me to basically come for them in court

#

I had to get my bank to sever the transactions, or they likely would have continued

#

never got my money back, so fuck adobe IMO

#

and I am not the only person who has had similar situations with them

#

I used them religiously for like 3 years, even got people to join, so its not like I am some hater, I used them daily for a good while.

#

Then they started fucking me over, I deleted my account, and they continued to fuck me over

high skiff

firefly was 🤮 when it was in beta lol

cinder aspen

How could they double charge you

high skiff
#

I'd hope its a little less shit now at least, I have not seen it

high skiff

they would charge me once, and then... charge me a second time. Happened 3 times. They then told me they gave me 3 free months back as reimbursement, of which I never actually got, which lead to my deleting my account

I mean lets be real, Firefly is NOT oriented towards prompters and "AI artists" just as SDXL isnt oriented towards artists

high skiff
# cinder aspen Oh, why is that?

I was huge in the blender community for a few years. Like top 10 users in the biggest blender server on discord big, but I started to notice that blender is not focused on fixing things, just adding new and sketchy features not many people ask for

Like, blender has horrific optimization issues, and yet they are adding in all these new systems rather than fixing the old ones. All in a race to be the "first" at something, while doing it generally sub par, in order to get more grant money from deep pocketed investors looking to paddle their GPU's for rendering (NVIDIA specifically)

Its just a big sprawling bunch of roots that don't mesh or have consistency or reliability between them. Simulations are miles behind geo-nodes, but you alsos till can't do proper bevels or chamfers in blender without its poly engine absolutely shitting itself.

I just dedicated so much time to trying to find community solutions for issues that should not be a thing in blender, and got tired of having my bug reports dismissed as "we know its an issue, we won't fix it"

glad grove

sounds likes its oriented towards ppl who know nothing about sd capabilities and just wanna generate some stuff on top of their art

#

The one that was the nail in the coffin of me using blender was me, and various other people working on a bug report for blender (the guy who made blender Super Image Denoiser is my friend and helped us with this)

I spent weeks finguring out an Albedo denoise pass issue for image denoising, tracked it down to an integer flip point where blender switches from casting rays through transmissive materials, and reflecting them. Below a threshold I was able to find down to the 9th decimal point, the denoise would fail. increasing it by any amount would allow it to work

Turns out it was an issue they had known of for basically a decade, when cycles original dropped. They informed us that they knew it was there, and why it was there, but that they would never fix it, even though it ruins peoples renders all the damn time.

We spent so much time trying to find the data, explain what was wrong, worked together as a community on it for a long time just to hear "Even though we are remaking the entire render engine pipeline from the ground up, we have no interest in fixing one of the biggest rendering bugs in Blender/Cycles history" and then close it with no additional comment

upbeat summit
high skiff
#

EXTREMELY

#

we had so many people help with it, for literally nothing

west breach
#

a pikachu cat will make it all better

high skiff
#

my specialty in blender was fluid and glass renders, so low roughness denoise bugs were my bane

#

I found the example image

#

you can see at 0.273861, its broken and noisy, but above, it fixes

#

bugged denoise albedo

#

bugged denoise normal vector

cinder aspen
#

I mean why wouldnt you want to fix that

high skiff
#

no idea, they just said they didn't care to fix it, then closed it

#

and looking through reports, many people had reported it in some capacity

#

I learned of ways to cheat it by render pass swapping, but it requires rendering every frame 2 times, and is a pain in the ass to automate

cinder aspen
#

Lack of support from Blender stuff is also a thing due to its nature, one of reasons why others will prefer Autodesk, Maxon or Adobe products

#

Especially companies

#

I used blender a few days after 2.8 dropped, and now we are on like 3.6-3.7 now I think

cinder aspen

Ofc on the other side Blender has a wider community of hobbyists

I pay 350€/year for Max which isnt expensive comparewise...but then the programs around it and addons come into the game

upbeat summit
#

yeah if you work with that or are an enthusiast that can be acceptable

cinder aspen
#

As long as i can afford it, yes

upbeat summit
#

subscription services are not my favorite concept - but for many things especially in Adobe tools there are no substitutes because they have the monopoly

cinder aspen

I mean i could have gone with Blender as well, i did for a very short period of time

cinder aspen

Imagine if i had to pay all of the softwares and addons at once

#

Full price

#

My as* could i have em all then

#

I would have to sell my mother, my soul and my left kidney for that

upbeat summit
#

yeah and you get updates and new features without extra costs. at least that is one positive aspect of a subscription

cinder aspen
#

Yes

#

Ideally you also get your money back with those products

#

Which is what professionals do

upbeat summit

I mean - I was totally against it and still am 😄 but now I'm logged into the Adobe ecosystem. I will never be able to work on my projects if I don't pay them for the rest of my life

cinder aspen
#

Im in their ecosystem as well including generative AI

#

You may also understand eventually why SDXL is a horrible pipeline tool in my case judging by my tools above

#

Its not about the image quality because SDXL can produce good images

upbeat summit
#

Yeah as said - there's no real alternative for a lot of stuff - especially if you work in professional print, image processing. affinity really improved so I have to check it out again, but all those tools have to integrate so many stuff from the last 25 - 30 years.

GIMP may be great but I can absolutely not work with it because how it processes colors and files. you can't output an industry standard file with it.
