On mac, cmd + shift + 4 turns your mouse into a screenshot selection tool, for taking screenshots of part of your screen. Moving your mouse in this state should not affect placement, selection, or removal holograms; nor should it affect hover states.

To reproduce: Select a machine (ex, shape miner). Press cmd + shift + 4. Move mouse, the machine moves. Hover over the "count per" info panel, and it pops up. Take a screenshot. Reset, pressing cmd + shift + 4 while hovering over the info panel. Move out of it, and it disappears.

There'd be screenshots, but AFAIK you can't take a screenshot of yourself taking a screenshot.

This might be a standard system compliance issue more than a bug, but I would consider (unintentional) compliance failures bugs.

Cursor soft selects buildings off screen when paused
Done โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

When the game is paused and not in focus, the cursor soft selects structures that are physically located behind other application windows on any monitor. This causes the hover highlight effect and audio click sound to trigger even though the structure is not visible on screen. The issue occurs in both pause states, but expected behavior is that structures should only be interactive within the active game window, and the pause menu should remain the top layer when displayed. The user is runnin...

UI hover sounds play incessantly when mouse is moved to second monitor or over a separate window
Done โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

When shapez 2 loses focus or the cursor moves to a second monitor, UI hover sounds continue to play excessively. The sound occurs specifically when hovering over structures, which normally should not trigger when the pause menu is open. When the cursor is on a second monitor to the right, the game treats the cursor's X position as being at the rightmost edge of the primary monitor, causing constant ticking sounds if structures are placed there. The expected behavior is that UI sounds should n...

MacOS 14.2, Game unresponsive when switching tasks
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

On MacOS 14.2, shapez 2 becomes unresponsive when switching between applications. When the player switches away from the game to another task and then returns, shapez 2 hangs and must be force-quit. This happens almost immediately upon returning to the game window. The issue was caused by a Unity engine bug and has been reported by multiple users. It should be resolved after the Unity version downgrade.

On macOS, game must be restarted one or two times until buttons are clickable
Done โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: OLD Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

On macOS, shapez 2 must be restarted one or two times before buttons become clickable. This issue occurs on both M1 and M2 processors. The problem appears to be a Unity engine bug that affects macOS versions of the game. When the game first launches, UI buttons are unresponsive and require one or two full restarts before they function properly. This prevents normal gameplay until the restart workaround is applied.

command+z doesn't work in macOS (only ctrl+z works)
Done โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] โ€ข Resolution: Done

On macOS, the Undo command+z keybinding doesn't work - only ctrl+z functions. This affects macOS users since the platform uses the command key (meta key) instead of ctrl for standard shortcuts like Undo. The bug was caused by some keybindings explicitly using LeftControl instead of the platform-dynamic DefaultControlKeyCode that should map to command on Mac and ctrl on Windows/Linux. This prevents Mac users from using the standard command+z shortcut for undoing actions.
