This is my attempt at maxing out shape input rates using train to train transfers. lmk if this has this already been done :3
(blueprint in text file)
main idea:
- 2 alternating 36 long trains enter the vortex for the time it takes for the other to respawn
- those go to 2 trains with alternating spacers and cargo (this gives space for later components)
- then those trains repeat the same process allowing enough room to have individual 1 long trains supply each segment of the spaces trains on each side
- thus, we can have more trains to load faster having multiple loading stations for the 1 long trains (idk the optimal amount of 1 long trains for this yet)
- those can be loaded by higher capacity 4 long trains delivering large amounts of shapes to be given to the 1 long transfer trains
- each train line entrance on the side can have 1 shape type as they are 1 car in the final train being delivered to the vortex (and all 3 layers used on the train for max capacity)
potential improvements:
- different length main trains allowing for less stopping and cleaner delivery (maybe multiple stations?)
- different number of spaced long trains and 1 long trains for higher throughput / less stopping
- move 1 long stations off the main loop to allow for 1 long trains to find stations in parallel.
- rotate wings to allow for 4 stations to surround the vortex (+belt access at corners for true max rates)
- different length other than 4 for incoming trains (seems hard to calculate but could create improvements)
TL;DR: lots of shapes, in lots of boxes, moving very fast... :3
