When playing around with the map generation my game will randomly freeze completely. Even waiting ~18 minutes (I had to step away for a phone call while experimenting) the game does not recover.
I am trying to create a world that will be all pure uncolored shapes and messing with the spiral settings. It does not seem consistent which setting triggers the freeze, but it happens eventually. I have tried doing things in different orders, and only doing certain combinations, but nothing seems consistent with the setting I am changing or the one immediately before it.

Game Hangs when Shape Asteroids Patch Likelihood is over 100% and then uncolored half's weight is reduced

The game hangs indefinitely when configuring Map Generation settings for a new Classic Mode Regular scenario. Setting the Shape Asteroids Patch Likelihood above 100% and then reducing the Uncolored Half's Weight slider to its minimum triggers the hang. Other slider combinations may also cause this issue. The game becomes unresponsive and does not recover. Any interaction with Map Generation settings should not cause hangs, crashes, or errors.

PATCH LIKENESS set to 1000% on Map generation preview causes out of ram

Changing shape asteroid settings causes all the shape asteroids to vanish outside the vortex chunk in map generation

Thanks for adding this report! It seems there's more than one way to encounter it, but it mainly seems to be affected by the thickness of patches. We'll look into this one soon!
