Hello people of Shapez2
I have Created couple versions of MAM machines
I will list them how they were chronologically made
-PROTOTYPE MAM
I used signals to recreate belts
It is able to recreate any 1 floor signal without pins and crystals
-MAM V1
Is able to recreate any 1 floor shape without pins and crystals
It has 12 belt output
-MAM V2
IS able to recreate any shape without pins and crystals
It has 48 belt output for 1 floor shapes
24 belt output for 2 floors shapes
12 belt output for 3 and 4 floor shapes
The biggest issue I know about is that it takes pretty long time to change production to a different shape.
Also it is my original take on MAM because I did not use any inspiration from others.

You are welcome to comment on any issues. I will surely try to fix them in the future versions of MAM
This surely does look impressive and massive.
I like the fact you can output single/double stacked shapes with increased production.
I cant download and test it but i can give you some ideas if you like to
||If you rearrange your shape and paint loading at your asteroids (or where ever you get them from) in a way that they are in every 4th (3rd) wagon, then you can clean up your spaghetti between the big supply train and the distribution trains.||
||to reduce the time between shape selection you gotta reduce the distances, like compacting and rearraging your platforms, but i assume you know that allready||
Ty for you suggestion
The spagheti in the bottom part
does not produce any lag when shape change happens
it is simply there to make trains more comprehensive for me and anyone willing to try my BP
so it is unnecessary for the function of MAM
you can directly "feed" trains in to the middle part after the spagheti if you like
I already have ideas for improvements (V3)
- adding pins
- changing layout for shorter travel time
- adding more flushing components in to the system so stackers can make correct shape sooner
- I might use trains to travel shapes faster between individual floors
look. I made these crude drawings
il just combine the bus and unloading part and slightly rearange it
- you will need pins eventually to use it for ROS#0
- always good
- kinda yes and no, before every train loading yes, but somewhere in the middle always depends, i guess there are some points where it would make sense, otherwise you "flush" you system with new shapes anyways
- definitally no, trains might be faster but it takes to long to load them, it also adds unwanted buffer between floors
you are correct with 4. It was just an idea that might help
but il completely rearrange the floors so it does not have to travel so far
trains that feed the machine will do the heavy work. Better, Faster, Stronger and without lag
see you soon
also may I ask why do people do not want to check the BPs ?
i guess everyone has their own reason for that
like to lazy to check for them unless their are really amazing builds
or simply no time and busy with their own builds
makes sense
My take on MAM machines. minimum 12 belt output. (update 18.3.25)
alright V3 is here
it is not tested yet (dont have time for that)
so il just say what I did
It should be able to do same stuff as V1 but with 153 less platform units.
also it should be able to make shapes with pins.
After I test V3 I put 4 of them together for V4
that will be able to do any shape without crystals or use of that mechanic
BP will be posted also after testing
and I would almost forgot
Credit for stacker design: https://www.youtube.com/@DataEngineerPlays
...I dont see a V3 download file
i know
i have not tested it yet
probably tomorow (today) il test it and post it
20.3.25 is also possible
I probably wont have much time today so 20.3 is more probable
Any ideas for a good test shapes ?
- Any colors any shapes any pins
- Max 4 layer shapes
- No hex
- No crystal mechanics
- Must be possible to make in the game
Actually might do a 5 layer machine 🤔
Id have to check the gallery again but someone'll make a true MAM with crystal. And another will dare to make a Hex MAM
My take on MAM machines. minimum 12 belt output. (update 19.3.25)
Alright I tested V3 and it is ready for a release
COLOR input
SHAPES input
It uses 468 platform units
It is 153 less than V1
it has the same 12 belt output
It can do any 1 floor shape without crystal mechanics
It also has way smaller lag
It takes around 7.5 minutes to make a complete switch to a different shape
depends on the type of change
Tomorrow il do the V4 whitch will be a successor to the V2
My take on MAM machines. (Update 21.3.2025)
My take on MAM machines. (V4 Update 21.3.2025)
V4 is here
It can recreate any shape without crystal mechanics
Output is 12, 24, 48 belts, depending on shape height.
The MAM itself (without the sorter) uses 2043 Platform Units
It is 787 less than V2 (without the sorter)
if you want to input directly without the sorter.
BPs:
Again I have to give credit for stacker design (got lazy designing them)
- Fixed some issues with V3
I have a thorough what does it do?
MAM means Make Anything Machine. Makes any shape you code in, but crystals are a separate problem so MAMs dont always have crystal built-in
feed shapes and fluids, it does the rest
well my V1 and V2 can be built without Crystal mechanics and you also dont need pin pushers.
for V2 and V4 you need to create {PPPP} shape
that is, you can build after a train screening
yea you need trains, and signals
OU is clear
but i highly recommend building your own MAM
Why
project i had the most fun in Shapez2
If you just download my MAM you will cheat yourself
if you want to inspire yourself, I can recommend looking at any design. You Should also do all milestones before doing MAM. It helps you understand the game better.
But if you dont want to cheat yourself, dont copy any part of any machine
I am kinda guilty for the stacker I copied
@onyx geode How do I connect this to the vortex?
how do i make it workd
don't use it, and design your own
yeah they dont share TMAMs. Usually. If you can make all other MAMs, you should be able to make a TMAM
2 belt stacker
alrighty alrighty
i am kinda back and looking in to the "new" update
currently working on new CPU for MAM
