#Can a single square 12x12 intersection work?

@candid hamlet I forgot those existed since I've never used them but IT IS actually possible
I figured it out shortly after posting, internet just went out
Now that you mention it a lot of my builds could probably be a lot smaller if I used launchers. I've been playing belt management on hard mode for 40 hours
technically the throughput is the same so it doesn't matter much anyway but it does create a larger buffer
I already made this, I think you over-complicated your design a bit
A lot of my designs are rather stupid in retrospect, like this one. (ignore the personal note)
its like that beacuse launchers are faster than belts
that why i have launhers everywhere they fit
I'm too far into the game to start using them now, I have to finish it for the novelty of it
what are these?
They just turn the belts off essentially, so I can have a different shape on each one, have them all connected to the same belt on the other end and just turn the one I want on. It's basically just a shap picker. I haven't made the reciever yet. Still building
It looks really complicated because I didn't use transmitters
What the middle layer looks like
I've had to get a bit creative
haha
Some of my other "creative" designs
Painter was on a 1x2 because at the time I couldn't think of a way to fit it on one. Probably can, just need to re-visit it.
this is my design of 1x1 intersection:
I just had a craving to watch this with collisions on.
#1312712284237463624 message should be collisions safe
I keep hearing about shapes collisions, never knew it was even a thing before. Is it something specific to hard/insane mode ?
it used to be in the game in previous versions but was then removed because it broke, and it might come back in the future
Wdym by broke?
at first the shapes started to be able to go through some buildings in some configurations then the number of buildings and the number of configuration where they wouldn't collide started augmenting so then it was intentionally removed
ah okay
oh, I always though it was removed for QoL. very interesting and worrisome.
