#why isn't there much hex content on the discord?

Because a lot of people are going to play the game, beat it, and call it a day
Also because every blueprint that handles a single building (1x1 painter, 1x2 stacker, etc etc) works exactly the same in hex and quad
Thanks, just made my hex MAM and was searching for some more efficient designs than mine 😅
The only real difference I can think of offhand would be making bowties {Ru--Ru--} vs making trefoils {Hu--Hu--Hu--+hex}
You can make bowties/checkerboards on a 1x2 with swappers, but not their hex equivalent
I have a hex MAM as well.. may i see your design?
oh man that looks a lot cleaner than mine lol
i made mine all with 12 belts at every step though
this is what one layer looks like
vs the whole thing
how are you making full shapes from the pieces in your image?
Mines only got a 4 lane output, so definitely not as effective
The pictures is one hex 😅
So for each layer there is 6 of these
ohhhhhh
And then 4 lanes total
that makes a lot of sense
Sorry
all good!
Thanks for sharing
you should consider mixing all your paints on site since you don't need full input of any of the base color if the corner uses mixes
I have these taking in an RGB input and making all the mixes at once with a selector filtering whatever is needed for the piece
I tried something like this, not as neat. But was having trouble with the throughout of the mixers. Might have another go, cus this looks pretty good!
:D
i think i ran into some issues with the valves being a bit weird about their rates plus needing more paint mixers than i had thought so it's definitely not without its challenges
(these are all double stacked so there's 8 mixers per color)
Ah that's why you have 4 valves per colour...
Makes sense, need to try this now 😂
After finishing normal mode, should I now play hex or hard mode?
Can't say, only had the game a week, Imma finish hex, then do hard I think
Tips, you might as well go to insane mode and just skip hard mode. If you have already done normal mode and hex mode, you should know what you are doing by now. I can't even wrap my brain around a MAM, and you built one, so you're better at this game than I am. That's OK. I just hit the top 0.017% on normal mode and operator level 274. It sounds like it's time to start a new game.
