#Pipe Gate Throughput should be 7200 instead of 1800

It was 450 in RC2, so it could be worse XD
I suggested this in the survey. It's more annoying tedious than challenging and fun. Especially in conjunction with crystal generators which need 3600 fluid for a full belt of output. I think a lot of folks are starting to notice and ask for it?
If that's the case @lucid yoke, why is regular pipe throughput 7200?
I agree. So if you have a literal on/off valve for a pipe, why is it limited to 1800 instead of what your pipe is there?
because thats the "full belt" or fluids :P
originially it was only 450 (same as a pump) but it was buffed because that was a bit excessive
when pipe and wire branches are buffed itll be a lot smoother
Just seems backwards. I can understand limits on painters, somewhat on tanks, but on these just seems excessive this way. They all can be merged into one, so it's 1 => 4 => 1. Why the need to expand out just to merge back in again? Just my thoughts
Same reason to expand out at the launchers
The launcher seems to be the base unit of scaling, so this doesn't really feel surprising
Launchers I can sort of understand because you have to pool up liquid and then shoot them off. They'll work functionally similar to the launchers on the belts (Which have to be capped at 1800 to fill entire lane)
it breaks logic and is just very inconvenient
if it was 7200 it would be to easy to build anything
i use 6 gates because now they bugged they give only 80% if u don't look at them
I think many things are put into games to be an artificial.... gate... to avoid the dreaded "OP" factor. At least now the fluid gates match launchers so launchers being the bottleneck we're probably stuck with, fluid gates are fine now. Lord when we (however briefly) needed FOUR per launcher!

I totally agree. It should be 1800. It's an unique flavor of pipes - you can combine 4 of inputs (fluid catches from the space pipe) in a singe one. It would be boring if the pipes were exactly the same as belts, just for a second type of resource. Making a gate an exception to that is just annoying, especially since it requires extra space for wiring!
A bit like having to have several water shutoff valves to my house just so I could get full street pressure. 😅 At least we got it knocked down from 4 to 1 !
Now with bug u need 5-6 for full pipe because if u don't look at them they don't work 100% output but about 80%
That's clearly a bug though, that will get fixed in the next patch hopefully
