#Minor annoyances

Been spending a lot more time in the alpha than I should have and here are some very small annoyances I've found so far:

  • Building / deletion fluidity When in place mode, RMB first makes you escape and then allows deletion; I'd love to be able to quickly delete a building while still remaining in placing mode, having RMB delete something in build mode if you are hovering over a building / dragging over buildings and only having it exit the building mode when over clear space would make for a more fluid feel imo (since you still always have esc to exit build mode as well)
  • Clipboard spamming well all the blueprints you copy get saved to your clipboard, which can be very annoying to deal with when using clipboard history outside of the game to store things (see screenshot). Now I know that there is an option to disable that, but then your last blueprint / selection wont be saved and you have to copy it again / select the blueprint again; I think having an internal buffer of the last selection (or at least having an option to enable that behavior) would be a more pleasant experience
  • Quick blueprints I often times find myself switch to the blueprint category only to place one blueprint and then switch back, I'd love to have a keybind to quickly place one of the hotkey blueprints from outside the menu (tho this is arguably the weakest point here)

  • Cutting selection to move I like to use the Ctrl + X functionality to move around things while building, and it seems like the center of the selection will then snap to the cursor. I think it would be a nicer experience to keep the same offset from the cursor when cutting to make moving easier (see screenshots below #1252184243560386562 message)

Let me end this post by saying that even the alpha version (22.2) feels extremely polished and great to play and these are ofc very nitpicky things - thanks for making an awesome game! c:

for the second point, I feel like the fact that previous blueprints aren't remembered if you have the setting disabled might be a bug because I think I remember it working previously

The main issue with the second point is that it's not clear what happens when you press Ctrl +V then - will it paste from your clipboard or the last blueprint?
I guess we could check if the clipboard starts with SHAPEZ2-1- and otherwise select the past blueprint?

Could you report a bug for this? I.e. Ctrl + V doesn't select past blueprint if Copy Blueprints To Clipboard is disabled

Building / deletion fluidity
We have this planned, I think it was a setting in S1. However, the issue is that then it might be a bit unnatural to deselect a building - what if you want to deselect it while over another structure? It could lead to a lot of accidental deletes

Or maybe it'd be better to just have a completely seperate feature to import something from the clipboard - I cant really imagine that ppl will need to "rapid fire" that kind of functionality

Not sure what you mean with the selection here, the right click to delete part was only meant to apply to the building mode, i.e. when hitting shift + 1, 1 to enter the build mode with conveyors; Then you place a few conveyors and accidentally place one you didnt want. To delete that one you have to press RMB to escape the build mode and then RMB again to delete it, then 1 again to get back

But also maybe I'm just missing your point 😅
