Today I had someone threatening to clear the chats in game claiming they were a moderator. No special name, no badges. I did some googling, turns out there are player moderators in the Discord but I'm not sure if that's the same in game? Can anyone please let me know?

Yes there are, they are volunteers not part of the dev team so no DE tag

Those of us who are a moderator on the discord are moderators in game. There is no special indicator like the purple for DE

Might be something to look into. Right now anyone can claim to be a moderator in chat. There's no way to confirm if they are if the players are not in the discord.
