We all know the Ode are a bit backwards... But yeah, the arrows on the Avex seem to have gotten turned around backwards. And they seem to be misaligned, as the fletchings are sticking out of the front of the quiver. When drawn, and fired, this is more noticable, with the arrowhead hovering in front of the envoy's hand, and the glowy bit of the arrow hovering a fair distance from the arrow when it sticks in something.
#Avex arrows are backwards and misaligned

Related, string is also not working correctly for a compound bow, as mentioned here:

the model for the avex is gorgeous, and the audio is perfect... but as others have pointed out, there are several pretty big issues. As others have mentioned, the arrows are backwards and misaligned, but the place the string bends is also misaligned with the hand (screenshot attached). It looks like this is because the grip of on the bow is a bit too high in general - perhaps the bow is fully upside-down? That would make a lot more sense design wise. Generally speaking on bows with asymmetrical limbs, the top limb is the longer one, so on Avex, the top limb should be the one with the extra gears. When the bow is sheathed the limb lengths look about right, so perhaps this was the intended orientation?
string bending below hand:
sheathed orientation looks right side up:
in contrast, blitzel is sheathed upside down:
so I think part of the issue might be that Avex's orientation is just upside down... in addition to the arrows being backwards
ah, just checked the concept art and it is not upside down... but the top limb is a bit too short, and that seems to be causing the string misalignment
As others have pointed out, this is also not how compound bows are drawn, but this bothers me less because it's a fantasy game and it's Ode tech so it doesn't necessarily work the same as real bows. But the angle in the strings below the hand is clearly not correct regardless, and obviously backwards arrows is a problem.
if these little holes are meant to be finger grips, there's a reason we don't have those on real bows, and also the thumb hole doesn't fit anyway. moving the grip below both of those little loops would nicely adjust the proportion of the limbs and probably also fix the string angle issue. I feel a bit bad nitpicking this so much, but it's such a lovely skin that I really want to see it implemented a bit better! Really cool design, and again, incredible audio. The arrows also look extremely cool... they just need to be flipped around 😉
Indeed - melee hits with arrows are also hitting oddly due to the misaligned arrow facing away from enemies
Melee hits dip downwards quite noticibly when utilising the bows melee mechanic.
- Aiming arrows orient backwards (facing envoys) with fletching facing outwardly when fired)
Same Same
In my humble opinion the arrow is for sure upside down, we are shooting with the "feather" of the arrow hitting the enemies and that is just wrong as it was pointed out already, The bow itself is upside down aswell in my opinion, but I might be wrong. Also on compound bows you don't shoot with the 3 strings, you only pull one of them, but tbh for gameplay purposes that's irrelevant.
Adding on my reasoning for the bow possibly being upside down, is simply bc most compound bows are designed with the sight being above from where you shoot the arrow, but again DE is free to design it however they want to.
Luckily, HotFix 6 has now fixed the arrow to face the correct way.
I will say the melee attack 2nd hit dips downwards still and misses consistently when stabbing with the arrow.
