Hi, just had an encounter with the Waste Bear at the end of a Sparrow's Tale that promptly ran away upon my death. It attempted to run of the first time, but the second time it took off like it was hunting something else.

I just had the same thing happen at the same location.
He dived at me and one-shot me, then as I was flying back to my body I saw him booting it up the beach toward Mirifuir.
