#Fix to faction grinding - give it out for all content

Anytime I kill a boss or take a castle, the cutscene shows my faction, but it never increases.

Faction grinding is a chore. But it'd be less of a chore if I receive faction experience doing the things that I want to do.

They're already showing faction experience during the cutscene, I don't understand why they're not adding to it. I've watched the XP and it stays the same no matter how many bosses or castles I conquer.

There's a daily cap of 16k for each faction

I never hit that. I don't play enough to hit a 16K faction ceiling

Okay have you talked with the faction leader to level up right I'm going to asume that

I am rank 5. I look at the number every time that the cut scene comes up. The only time that that number goes up is doing a faction mission. It never goes up doing anything else

Have you seen it go up for doing a boss or a castle?

Or do you just assume it goes up because it's showing the XP

Currently, you do not receive faction XP for doing sieges or killing Agari, to clear up any confusion on the matter.

That aside, the idea is interesting. I'm worried about people using that to skip the faction tale system entirely, but if balanced properly it could be a nice supplement.

That is why I made the post. It doesn't go up for agari or castles. And who cares if I'm not doing faction missions? It's not like there's an important story doing faction missions. It's just a ranking system

I could understand if with every faction rank there was an important story link to it that you had to go do. Then sure. But right now it's just a pool of points that I can spend

It is mostly a minimum viable version of the system. Your desire to skip it is an interesting outcome in and of itself, and indicates tales aren't rewarding or engaging enough in the long term. Might be something to improve on there as well.

They actually ruined faction grinding for me with the whole tree thing. Now I have to run back and forth back and forth just to do faction grinding. I really enjoyed the system where I could just wander about the map and pick up factions as I went

Totally fair! I think they're just trying a bunch of changes to get some of the placeholders out and see what works, and if it doesn't they'll be fixing it up based on player feedback. It's at the end of the day still a pre-alpha, and many systems were in need of overhauls or changes, and sometimes those changes just aren't quite hitting the way they hope! With any luck they'll overhaul that soon with something else.

Honestly tales that ended in an Agari, or were a Siege, could also be cool...tie it in with the existing system once they hammer out a better way to issue the tales
