Hello, I'm a new player for the game, and I thought to myself, before even getting the game: "I wonder how everyone is liking the Prelude of Soulframe thus far?", so I thought to make this post, as a sort of "wellness check", but for player contentment with the game.

Got nothing to say but enjoying your time in the game, you can simply say you like it, or if it's needing some work but it has definitive qualities that tell you this game has the potential, alright, assembly required but already on route with it still in its Prelude phase, or it's just not hitting the right note and feels like its missing something, what's not pulling the game together into something you can cohesively enjoy?

The more thought the better, but please feel free to be as long or short as you want if nothing comes to mind, just the sheer answer that you like or dislike goes a long way in reinforcing, reaffirming how close this game is to realizing its potential, and uniting all us Envoys together! Making this game's future as bright as we possibly can in its literal foundational making!

I think some of you can and have already made an educated guess, but I come from DE's "Warframe", among a good lot of you, and if you know Warframe's history and origin, you know the DEVs under Warframe, and collaborating with Soulframe, put everything into it, after rough start of having no market support until they did the legwork themselves, and made their vision a successful reality, with a foundation that was crumbling under them in the midst of that.

Simply enough, they made a gem in the middle of the mine collapsing: imagine what they could do now with the experience they have, the resources at hand, and a stable start to found a game like this- with a audience behind them ready to support?

Get the idea? So lets get to it, this game won't improve without us; I sound corny as hell, but I really want to see what a game with DEVs like these can do and how far it can go if we work with them...

I think it's pretty good. The core system seems to work well. It's definitely not like warframe for the most part.
They're still working on systems and content. Last time I played they had added a bunch of new structures.
Before that there's been funny stuff like holes in the world or being able to glitch under the water. I enjoy that stuff though so I'm glad I played before they were polished out.
Visually it's a treat. There are still things there that need work too but I like exploring the nature.

Atmosphere, sound, music and graphics are excellent. Story is intriguing. Gameplay needs improvements. Content is still lacking (that's normal). Multiplayer is restricted to farming and unfun. Core systems are deficient, opaque, severely unbalanced (on purpose?) or simply not working.
By the way I say that as someone that wants the game to improve and succeed, otherwise, I wouldn't waste my time giving feedback.

I love the game and cannot wait for the future based off of warframe I have full confidence soulframe will be just as good if not better then warframe. When you play soulframe under the lens that you are playing a pre alpha the game is actually amazing. I have played alot of early access beta games and a few alphas and none of them felt as polished and fun as soulframe I wish i could see the hours I've spent in the game because I doubt I have that many hours in games I've had to pay for.

I have my ups and downs with the game.

I joined real early and back then it was a lot of fun. It still is but some things get balanced or changed. I do play the game a lot each prelude but take long breaks in between.

Atmosphere and sounds are probably better than anything I've ever experienced ill definitely agree on that. Just the current gameplay loop and combat can be a bit bothersome having to deal with it.

The Preludes Series overall has been enjoyable knowing that things can change per patch & shaping this wonderful game!

I consider it a privilege to be part of a games development alongside the minds and creatives that Shape the world of Alca.

The dedication to this game, the creation of story, Fables, meeting our Ancestors, shooing Motes away from our Journal entry being stolen, the musical wonders whilst meeting Bromius....or traveling through the Neeth'Uns.

I can't thank DE enough for trusting & welcoming Envoys into this dream of a game, it certainly feels like one that's coming true.

  • The side quest of giving constructive, healthy feedback in discord with other players, running through the game finding Boss', meeting Avakot - heading into dungeons, crafting weapons, transmog, Capatalist Camel 🐫, tweeking Pacts, figuring out Pact abilities and how they empower our Envoy 🕊️ (flappy bird guiding the way)

  • Combat movement, dodge rolling, parrying a Backhand happy Banneret, Mora's Hand inferno casting, being enthralled & webbed by a Giant Spider, travelling the map with Fast travel, Map exploration, Pulling smitten souls & refreshing our abilities to Bestone!

  • it's an absolute Privilege to be part of Preludes, understanding this is a Foundational setting of the game & being a process we Envoys get to create together along DE.

Thank you Steve & your incredible team for bringing Soulframe to life 🕊️ I for one am looking forward to the future of Soulframe, even with the tides that may be low at times, I know we'll see the awesome rise to incredible game 🙏
