I know its pre-alpha, and it will likely be cleaned up, but a LOT of actions/animations in the game cause the player to self-CC. It can be pretty frustrating and really punish you, but in an un-fun way. For example, if I press my 2 or 3 ability in Tethren right as someone just happens to be lobbing a grenade at me, there is no dodging it. I will be locked in place for the animation and eat the nade.
I think animation locking should be reserved for very specific things, not nearly as often as it happens in the game currently. It makes combat feel a lot less fluid than it could feel. Not saying the game needs to be faster by any means. Just smoother and fluid.
