#Adding diverse gender variants to founder armours great, but I think you can take it further

Firstly, just want to say I appreciate the artists for all the hard work they’re putting into these incredible armour sets.

Second, I want to say that I think masculinising the masculine variants of the founder armours was a broadly good decision.

The mechanic to swap an armour piece between two states is already in game for helmets. I think if the “feminine” founders sets worked fine on male envoy models - albeit not to everyone’s taste - all Envoys should be able to switch between either variant.

  • More choice and value for money is good, less choice and value for money is bad
  • DE already made the extra models, there’s no point shortchanging themselves for the work they’ve done
  • Some players using female Envoys would probably prefer the “masculine” variants
  • Some players using male Envoys would probably prefer to still have access to the “feminine” variants

a.k.a. me lol. I actually really liked the “feminine” Oscelda torso for a light mage armour on my young adult character, the pecs and 6 pack situation looks a bit ridiculous since my characters doesn’t even have that physique themselves

Above that, I think a gradual plan to create variants for each of the armour sets wouldn’t be a bad endeavour. There’s merit in having armour that isn’t overly sexualising for female envoys, but there’s definitely a place for small tweaks that give armours a more feminine appearance while staying true to some kind of historical realism.

Id also like to be able to not only switch genders on my character easily, but let's get some body type sliders for height and width. I wanna see some tall skeleton osceldas and some short thick bromi.

Orengalls armor has an extra shoulder fur on the female build

Id like to see more options like this that arent male/female or round chest/flat chest more a more unisex fancy/simple.

Id be interested to see if we will get chest and shoulder accessories like warframe.

But yes 2 options for armor that arent always boobs/no boobs and sometimes is just cape/no cape would be awesome

+1 would love the option just in general esp if there are more gendered armor variants in the future

I honestly find it a little odd that the “masculine” armour is so bulky / masculinised when we look to be playing quite young adults - like, maybe early 20s at the most?

The general trend that is emerging for “male” armour variants is for them to have size and musculature is expected of someone well into their 20s / 30s+

If that’s the case but we do get the option to change gender variants, I think I’ll be getting a lot of use out of the feminine ones, since they skew androgynous and imo suit the younger build of the male envoy

Absolutely not dogging on the devs though, as the general design principles of the game are absolutely phenomenal - ESPECIALLY the armour ❤️

they could go the fun route and make the armor look like something straight out of nikke

+1 Yes, I've been saying it since before the changes: more choice is always good; more opportunity for expression is always good.

An example of this is the Hawk and Lark Bishamo sets from Warframe

Players can slap whichever of those two variants on a male or female operator with no problem

Reviving a dead thread instead of creating a whole new one for a similar issue. The steelslingers circlet has a scarf I assume for the female model as Tuvalkane has one and it's displayed in the icon. So why doesn't the male version have one. Is a scarf feminine, it doesn't seem it to me and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be on the male model. Kinda just a peeve that I have while trying to create drip and wanting a space filled that it seems like it's designed to do, and not having the option to.

Yes. Monster hunter when you unlock an armour set you get a male and female version but any player can use either set/ mix and match. It's perfect.

+1, I think every armor set should have gendered variants that are usable to everyone
