Now that the Collector is a world event, it is highly unlikely that a player will have the thunderstone needed to free the animals during the event. Avakot is already established to acquire and sell Ode tech to people, why not let him occasionally sell a thunderstone like how he used to sell cloudquell? This way players are more likely to be able to save the animals from Mada, deal with random/tale bisulcams, and have a drac sink.

+1 I don't get them often, and it makes me sad when the cage gets inevitably tractor-beamed.

I keep picking them up from the bisulcam missions and not using them. Hopefully I get to keep them for later.
I find it easier to just throw magic and hellfire at the bisulcams from a distance rather than walk up and plant a thunderstone on them.
+1 though, I would like to be able to buy spares as well.
