I haven't properly played warframe, have only a couple of hours in it. however, I was interested in Soulframe because I lean more into fantasy. I also avoid guide videos and tutorials, so I went into Soulframe blind.
well it started off great, but after following the quests for a little while and reaching the silent rose base I hit a point where the game doesn't present me anything specific to do anymore.
through just wayward exploring I managed to find the Shewolf Snared fable, but after finishing that (I think) the only thing I've found to do is Silent Rose tales to level up my reputation with them. I've tried searching for the materials to assemble the pacts I've got (Garren Rood and Orengall) but I've yet to uncover reliable sources for some of their materials. There's also a massive space in my Nightfold that implies to me I should be able to find another ancestor or two.
but the main point is I'm confused on what the intended route is and I would like to discover it organically within the game. Am I meant to just explore and encounter something? if so, a "Venture into the world to uncover more" would have been enough. level up the Silent Rose? a "Do a few things for us and we'll x".
I'm all for it being pretty open, but I wish I actually knew what my choices are. stuff happens and I don't always know what that means. I only just discovered a weapons rank isn't the same as your weapon art level, so until now I was confused why when my weapon levelled up I didn't get Arts points.
There just seems to be a baseline assumption on the level of knowledge a player should have, that as a completely new player to DE, I don't. And I wish more of that information could be provided in game (even if its a tab in the journal that never forces itself on a player).
As a point, this isn't a cry for help. I'm content to stumble through avoiding all outside help. but this could easily be a reason others bounce off of the game.
