I joined Alca's Children when Prelude 9 was released, and still have the Sproutfolk Seed Talisman.
I have been gone a while, and just recently came back.

I seem to be in the faction, with 1,310 standing, but it is not going any higher despite having done many things including freeing animals, cleansing pollution, and killing Bannerets and bosses.

I recall Lady Diora frequently giving me tasks prior to the faction update, but since coming back I have not had anything from Avakot.

I tried lookin' online before reporting but didn't really find any answers for my particular issue.

UPDATE

My curse is lifted, I completed the Waste Bear fable, and suddenly the missions started appearing.
Since I had no idea how to fix my issue, I decided to continue and farm other goodies, upon completing the fable, I saw the waypoints at last.

+1 I don't have quest from Avakot available either, and I haven't killed Waste Bear yet. At least now I know what's going on.
