I like the concept and how it is designed but it turns me off with the open world as it is. I know DE will give it more love which is why I bought founders. It feels empty with the open world. It feels like a walking simulator with a few enemies here and there and you encounter random quest events. I actually hate it when open worlds have such a big map and everyone plays inside the dungeons barely ever touching the open world. I appreciate that a lot from soulframe.
My gripes are the consequences for dying. I haven't gotten access to the hard mode potion yet but I would like some terror inside me of dying. I don't want a permadeath but maybe an inventory resource depletion per death as an option. Steel path idea maybe? An increase in drops but when you die you lose some. In other words it feels like playing dark souls without losing your souls upon death and bosses not refilling hp after dying. I've fought some overleveled enemies and I liked the fights with them but when I would die sometimes, I didn't feel like I lost anything other than a bit of my pride. Bosses don't go back to full hp when you die. I would like to see some engaging difficulty and with real consequences for dying.
Does anybody else feel that way?
