Knell Knight does not drop agaric

Been farming the sub bosses for agaric since P12 dropped and each time I kill the Knell Knight the regular ring of mushrooms with the interactable mush in the middle doesn't spawn. Instead Half the time I get nothing and the other half I get a greyed out, uninteractable mushroom
