#I love the amount of detail in the galaxy in the skybox!

So I managed to take some really nice screenshots of the night sky, and because I am an astrophysics nerd, I decided to do some analyzing.

Classification: If you look at the overall shape of the galaxy (red lines), its disk appears to be mostly flat, with a relatively normal sized central bulge. Combine this with the obvious streak of gas through the middle indicating the existence of a galactic arm (blue line), and the galaxy appears to be a spiral galaxy.

Age: This galaxy includes large red stars, which indicate that it has quite a bit of age. However, it also has smaller, more bluish stars, which implies that it is still producing stars. This is also supported by the sections of the galaxy that appear more dense and bright (white lines). Taking all of this into account, it is reasonable to assume the galaxy is still fairly young.

Location of Midrath: Assuming Midrath is on an earth-like planet, and taking into account the distant and near edge-wise view of the galaxy, this planet is likely on the outer reaches of one of the spiral arms.

Local Star Cluster: There is also a few constellations that appear significantly brighter and larger than the rest of the galaxy. Using this, we can determine that the planet Midrath is on is located within a fairly small star cluster.

tl;dr, I absolutely love the nighttime skybox in this game, and I can't wait to see what else the team does with this game.
