Due to the scarcity of sunlight underground, Dermak architects used bronze mirrors to provide light to their fruit gardens. The water from the aqueduct drove a clockwork mill, allowing the mirrors to track the sun's position. However, the Ode have tampered with this mechanism, leaving the groves to wither and die.
