The map isn't very big at the moment, as I understand it, right?

It would take a good handful of minutes to transverse the map, it's surprisingly expansive - way larger than I was expecting.

At 'character creation' you can choose between two gear sets, but you can find a crafter in the open world that'll join your group:

So Imagine other gear options may come out of it.

For example, I'm trying to determine where to consistently find scrap iron and brass to craft this one:

Can you tell if there are any variables in the materials you can choose? I.e. use iron insteaf of copper for a different outcome?

Right now it seems predetermined; unless I'm missing something obvious, there's no way to switch components
