The single player experience in this game is incredible, story and combat is great. However, you shouldn't put important items like character skins locked behind a pvp mode. You should have an alternative way to get them for people who don't like pvp and just happen to like the characters those skins belong to.

Perfectly fair, the people who enjoy pvp will play it regardless, with this much single player content there's no need to force those who dont enjoy it to play pvp

Premium reward as a skin to hardcore pvp player is totally fair imo. And you also can skins in non pvp stuff so. And after all it's just a skin so no big deal

They could just as easily give the skin for free as a pvp reward without needing to make it exclusive, and otherwise just putting it in the shop. Same overall principle, without punishing PvE focused players. Plus more income for the game
