First off I am really happy with the game so far. I have played about 2 hours with my buddy and love this game more than any other VR Tactical Shooter we have played. It's early access so there is bound to be bugs and things that need improved as it is not perfect (though what is lol) and I understand that. If some of this stuff has been said already then I am sorry but I do also feel that if something is repeated it shows that its not something one off ya know.

Positives
1: The Weapon & Gear customization is everything I hoped it would be. I love being able to have complete control over my loadout & it enhances the experience so much.

2: Weapon Weight/Inertia. I personally (and my friends) love the weight of the weapons & I feel that it's in a pretty good middle ground right now. I don't play with a gunstock so I can see why anyone who does might be complaining about it but there is a calibration system for gunstocks (which is in early stages it seems) and I think once that feature gets more flushed out then it'll be the best chance to satisfy the most people.

3: Utility feels really good and throwing grenades, using door breachers feels really fluid and I had zero issues with it so far. The little bit of weight they have while not being dragged down or magnetized to the ground allows you to really get grenades or flashbangs in windows or doors without fuss. (also the breaching sticks are really cool)

4: Performance. So far for my and my buddies the performance was great (granted we played low settings as it is set to ultra by default) and we didn't have anything beyond the normal VR type stuttering at the start which wasn't an issue on the game but just my headset losing my tracking because my room was dark (lol). I do hope to see some improvements in this area still such as if you have your settings on all low it is almost impossible to see into your mags to check your ammo or see into your chamber. Also the ground on "Are you even CAG?" has a weird moving effect on lower graphics.

5: Mag Gripping. Being able to grip your mag on your rifle and pistol before hitting the mag release is GOATED. I have zero clue why more VR shooters don't do this as the ones that do seem to be few and far between. (I have put about 25-30 hours into ITR2 recently and you basically have to have a quick time event to grab your mag lmao)

6: Weapon Stance?. I don't know if that's what I wanna call it but the feature that you can be in a dead sprint and when you raise your weapon you go to a walk speed I love. It makes it really easy to transition back to the fight especially if you're running for cover then immediately trying to lay down some fire.

7: AI. I think the AI is in a good spot right now. There was no glaring issues I've seen so far but I do look forward to seeing more improvements, additions or evolutions of it. I really liked how the AI don't stand still when they see you, they seem to try and take cover and will swap rooms or stances if given the option, especially if you disengage. Having an enemy prone in a dark room genuinely surprised me for the first time but I feel that AI that moves like this tends to improve the experience. I have seen some people say (in here and on steam) that they don't like that the AI shoots through the door if you try it and its locked or you run past it but that's kind of realistic imo. If you're really worried about getting shot through a door then evaluate the tactics you're using like try standing off to the side and using the equipment they gave you to adapt your environment to you instead of adapting to your environment.

8: Maps. We had a ton of fun on the current maps and didn't really have many complaints. I can't wait for more to come and hopefully workshop or modding content!

This is pretty long so far so I will be putting the bugs/negatives we found in our time playing in a message below.

Bugs/Negatives

  • Collision/Breaching. Doors can't really be opened with your weapons as there seems to be no collision on the weapons with doors or windows. This makes it harder to pie or clear a room and I hope to see more collision on the weapons and gadgets as right now you can just stick your gun or grenade through a door. This also means your gun can sometimes get stuck in walls and it bounces away which can be a little annoying.

  • Weapon/Gear Modding Menu. The menu for selecting your weapons, attachments and vest attachments could use some touching up, as right now its a little hard to see(i did see this posted already but figured I would throw it in here)

  • Buddy Grabbing. This might sound wierd at first by what I named it but we did notice that if I were to grab by buddies hand gun, for example, out of his holster and then gave it back to him then he cannot reholster the handgun as if it doesn't think its his gun.

  • AI Weapons. I love being able to pickup the AI weapons and use them if I need to but I noticed that sometimes if I let go of my rifle and grab the enemies rifle then I cannot fire it or manipulate the safety because it thinks I am still holding my rifle, which I was able to deduce because while holding the enemy rifle my forward hand would still turn on and off the laser/flashlight & safety of my main weapon.

  • Voice Chat. I notice that when I pause after entering into a lobby (singleplayer & multiplayer) I can hear myself talk. Additionally I cannot mute or adjust volume of the other players (atleast that I found I can definitely be having a smooth brain moment here) which means that I am hearing my buddy in discord twice. A section in the settings for this would be a nice QOL improvement

  • Body Movement/Blocking. (this is another one I have seen here once already but I feel is the most annoying but I encountered) I noticed that when I am reaching onto the table to grab attachments or trying to look down at my kit the player moves backwards which does suck and get annoying quick. I think making it so the player doesnt move when looking down would be good but also adding the option to not see your body and just have your gear for the people who want it would be nice.

  • Reholstering Weapons/Equipment. When you are going to put a mag back or a piece of utility there is nothing to tell you that it is going to go back in/feedback to tell you that you are positioned correctly like a highlight or even just a small haptic feedback when you are hovering over the pouch with your mag which would be nice as right now, especially with the body moving back thing means it can be difficult to put things back sometimes.

  • Gear Setup Sync. I noticed that when in CO-OP play my buddies rig setup was not synced properly to how he actually had it. I.E his mag holsters and grenade pouches weren't actually where they were showing me meaning I couldn't accurately or quickly grab a mag off of him if I needed to. Also it wasn't the right mags, he had an M4 and it showed AK bakelite mags.

  • Breaching Shotgun. The breaching shotgun seems to use regular 12G buckshot as it penetrates doors as such meaning overpenetration is almost guaranteed which comes in play the most when you are playing a map with hostages. IRL breaching shotgun typically use a metallic (usually lead and copper i believe) powder that minimizes the risk of overpenetration which makes it relatively ineffective against personnel but means you wont kill the hostage on the other side of the door lol
