Revamp COTW skin

Hear me out, the clip of the week skin is rare, so it should be personalized. The skin’s owner (the one who applies it to the gun) should have their use written on it as well as a serial number for the population of it (ie if there is 250 out there and this is the 156th it would say #156/250) The skin should also have an exclusive calling card where it’s a full metal clapping together this thing: 🎬 while having the COTW AK on their back

The card idea sounds cool but it would take a lot a time and hard to do the serial number idea with out an end point of cotw like say it ends on the ends on the 100th wipe since beta it would be easier to make and I believe we are about to hit the 100th wipe since beta so In theory it could be done just take time

Yeah, that’s the problem with most suggestions, they are really cool just they would take a lot of time

Also people who have the original COTW AK skin would keep it so it could be a legacy skin ig

Ya I mean I won it over a year ago so I have a low # if this gets added especially since ogs that won it might no play anymore only increasing the rarity

The really js main part is that it should look different, not like a purple oil slick skin

Well the skin it’s self should be the same but adding a number and name could be added on the stock of the gun

There's probably a zero chance of us making unique cotw skins with someones name on it every week

What about the serial number though? I feel that wouldn’t take too long to do; maybe make a new cotw skin on full release and make the serial numbers?

Making a new cotw skin every week would lead to 100s of duplicate skins wasting texture memory and force us to patch and update the game every single friday. It's not really feasible to add a weekly task like that to our workload that involves editing, setting up a new material, setting up a new skin on the backend, creating a new build and uploading

I could either sound like an idiot or a genius here but what if the variable was an object attached to the gun other than a texture? The back stock would have a text box with the variable “x” every Friday it goes up by one and it remains the same for the other people who have it. I honestly don’t know tho if I made sense there

Either way we aren't going to spend extra hours everysingle week and force an update to players every single friday
