Just some ideas to slow progression down a bit and make things feel more interactive and risky instead of just rushing loot.

Monument Virus (Replacing Radiation)
Instead of radiation, monuments could have an airborne virus.

  • Tied into lore through Beacon’s medical side
  • Gets stronger the closer you get
  • You’ll need hazmat or meds to deal with it
  • Makes monuments feel more dangerous and unique

The Lord behind the virus is that it is a experiment that beacon is doing on players and they’re using the information from that to make medicine better (the virus could explain why players act interestingly🤣)

Monument Puzzles
Make monuments take a bit more effort instead of quick in-and-out runs.

  • Simple stuff like levers, buttons, or small hacking minigames
  • Turn power on before opening doors
  • Keeps players in the area longer, so more chances for PvP

Loot Changes
Right now loot feels a little too consistent.

  • Add more junk items to lower-tier crates
  • Not every box should be useful
  • Makes good loot feel more rewarding and slows progression

Keycard Changes
Make keycards a bit more balanced.

  • Remove scanners
  • Green = 1 use
  • Blue = 1 use
  • Red = 2 uses
  • Stops people from snowballing high-tier loot too fast

Red Vault Changes
Make red vaults more of a risk.

  • Remove one crate
  • Add a timed locked crate with better loot
  • Server-wide notification when opened
  • Should bring more fights and interaction

Overall Idea
Just trying to make progression slower, fights more common, and everything feel a bit more earned instead of rushed.

Having a server wide notification when someone opens a vault

Vaults should stay out of the whole ‘bring people togethet for more fights’

You get 2 resets of oil, satelite, ocean, prison; and sometimes sawmil and you u have all the shreds to get welding

Vaults currently arent the problem

Stuff needs to come before vaults

If comps like springs and weapon parts became hard to find it would fix almost every problem the game has

More people would actually have to go to monuments to get shreds and components, ocean and road farming wouldnt be good like at all so people would be at the monuments

And vault loot would actually matter since day one people wont be running stgs aks and jackies because they would be expensive

#

More people would be interested in fighting at monuments

Cards would be way more risky
