We need to fix the "night vision when playing through steam vr" bug. When playing through steam vr, you can change the game's gamma settings, thereby allowing you to see in the dark.

THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM IS TO MAKE THE SAME DARKNESS AS YOU DID ON THE AIRSTRIP MONUMENT. IT'S DARK ENOUGH THERE, AND I EVEN USE A FLASHLIGHT THERE.BUT IF YOU JUST MAKE THE SAME DARKNESS, THEN WITH THE CHANGED GAMMA SETTINGS, YOU CAN STILL SEE DIFFERENT OBJECTS IN THE LOCATIONS.

I really ask you to do this, then it will make sense to use flashlights and add night vision goggles to the game.

When you go down into the tunnels you can't see anything at all, but at night you can at least see something. This is not a solution to the problem.

To solve the problem, developers need to reduce the light as in the tunnel and increase the gamma. When you increase the gamma in the tunnels, something becomes visible as dark, without gamma nothing is visible at all. When you increase the gamma again, there will be a black mess.

Balancing for different platforms and creating some way to uniformly adjust gamma and lock it isn't as easy as some might think but it is on the list

That's definitely possible but I feel like getting night adjusted to be uniform for everyone is the better move rather than make an item with the intention of it being used to compete with people who have an inherent advantage

Not that NVGs wouldn't be cool anyway lol, I just feel like there could be a better solution that's fair for everyone

Solution is use the pc version at default settings, you can see everything at night and in tunnels without anything.

This isn't true, I play on pc and my normal settings make it dark as shit at night

Make the night as with the gamma or a little darker to temporarily solve this problem and see how the players react.

When I launch steamvr through meta link the night is bright by default. When I launch the game only using steamlink it is like native

Yeah, this is what I've been saying for a while now for PCVR at least. Using AirLink I can see fine at night but my streaming quality is trash, using SteamLink the picture is clear but night time is DARK

for info with my hp reverb g2 ,night is very night.nearly impossible to play..with my quest 3, no probleme. im on pcvr.
