i disagree tech tree is needed for solo players / small groups. Currently a few large groups on that always have 3x or more players on no matter the night time getting crates or airdrops is impossible. Tech trees allows solo players to progress to raiding without the need to join a zerg.
keep the mil rifles mil grade raiding gear in the drops but allow tech tree to make crude versions
Tech tree won’t work as of now because you have to use physical blueprints of items but probably in the future
I agree tech tree needed
True but the tech tree could spawn physical BPs to circumvent that.
I’d like to have the BPs be tied to the player but I feel like it’s setup this way for a reason , or just to have differences from rust.
@frosty stump most definitely should be like rust in that I'm not trynna do all that to be raided and actually start from nothing again
I agree it is even a lower rock bottom than when you get raided on rust 😂
I thought also maybe a deposit system at a safe zone would work(assuming they aren’t trying to be identical to rust in every way), pay some scrap to make a copy of a couple BPs for a safe deposit box held in outpost/bandit
I feel like a tech tree would turn the core gameplay away from having to explore or raid to find what you need. New system would just make the progression entirely about farming scrap and with the road system that will be easier to do. It'd be pretty lame imo if people could just farm one resource to get everything they needed
well currently one team is hogging all airdrops and crates after 2 days server dies , having a tech tree allows players to work towards something hence why rust added it
Understandable, there will be some reworks to looting options in the near future so that might alleviate some of the issues. There's still quite a bit more coming for future updates but we'll see how everything evolves!
seriosuly though the tech tree still means you need to go to monuments or loot the scrap it forces ppl out the base , currently there is nothig to do but wait to eb raided or raid . This allows solo players like me a chance to hit back
@shadow cedar 🏆exactly how I feel
yep its dull when everyone goes crazy for two days at wipe then quits , leaves the rest of us wondering what to do
I think eventually we'll see some stuff to encourage people to keep playing beyond the initial few days of wipe. I can totally understand the want for persistent blueprints though!
im not bothered about persistant blue prints can handle that side of it its jsut the lack of access to boom seems every wipe teh same 7 man clan gets it stays on 24/7 and prevents access to crates etc , yeah ppl can say joina group go take them on but im a solo for a reason
Understandable, right now though the main source of both scrap and explosives is monuments so it would still boil down to a bit of the same situation. More improvements are coming as far as how loot is going to be handled so we'll see if that helps improve things for smaller groups/solos!
