I made an attempt to look and search for this suggestion, and I apologize now if this is already brought up, but I was wondering if it was possible to allow customizable Chests? Like labeling them what they hold or capable of changing their colors to color code what holds what? Thank you for your time.

you can already change their color when placing them! I don't remember the input but you should be able to see it in the bottom right corner while holding a chest

could you use item frames above them, as labels?

I see you'll have to be holding it but is it possible to label it instead of making a sign for it?
