rogue is so bad right now in low gear

you do 10 dmg per hit plus 20 poison dmg, so basically after 5 hits youve done 70 or 80 dmg while other classes oneshot you or twoshots you

you have to be an opportunist to win fights or third party, i imagine rogue in higher gs kills people in 3 hits, but i think in low gs against others low gs should also be the same of 3/5 hits

you got blocking not working in combination with having a long timer after an attack making fights a god damn chore and not in a good way. seriously why is it that i find out the entirty of combos in this game are jsut a noob trap mess of code? you literally are better off baiting attacks and blocking since when you block you get staggered too and cant return an attack "oh but the longsword can cus its special"

hell i kept getting hit with a god damn kite shield from a reapy that seems to have a broken hitbox. or a skeleton overhead swing hitting me first then my shield making me take full damage

then i made the msitake of thinking it would be fun to go down a level only to have enemys fucking attack FASTER

the combat does NOT warrent such constant speed when i can barely get one attack off then i have to block each time

why the fuck do enemys not stagger from headshot melee? or at all??

Cuz it's pvp is like in mmorpgs while bulid not like mmorpg
cuz mmo pvp is usually bound to have advantage (more stats)
while having mechanics that require some skill

first half wins cuz of stats and the other is CONFUSED cuz they outskill thier opponents and still got beat up

and when balance shifts
other side is confused, why it can't just outstat my enemy

while other group that already learned skill part prevails

its not really confusing it does not tell you how blocking works since its so weird. its combat takes time to learn not because its just that complex, its not mount and blade or for honor combat, its a skyrim-like system with some extra steps that is too sluggish to really teach the player anything more than "abusing the mechanics is the only way to win"

the issue is that even when i get all these little bonuses its not the pvp im upset with its the damn core gameplay

id get a refund as i dont think the devs are going to fix it but im already in too deep

basically you go in to a "rundown" a premade mission with always the same parameters and enemy layout. you move through quietly to not trigger hoards and get to the OBJ and then exfill wile the endlesws hoard at the end rushes you

it suffered form a ever growing content loss where they sunset entire mission chapters and cosmetic rewards when they pushed out a new chapter and each time they made you have to play wityh diffrent weapons and not the ones you liked

and the aliens you face often had like the msot annoying base hp vs weakspot that if you didnt always pop heads you would lose a good bit of ammo since you only had a few mags at a time for most guns killing 3 enemys often made you need to reload when you faced 8+

and jsut alot more trouble

thing is. i get where dark and darker is trying to be and mostly its doing it decently

i think this game suffers partly from a muted community atleast on steam where you cant talk about its issues because people all come out and say "skill issue" and "its not an issue if you [insert abusing mechanic statement here]" or the classic "i never had this problem so i dont know what your talking about"

if a member of your team, or any other team gets there first, it does not count. So if you find a easy abandoned pile, it is already pulled 99% of the time.
