After playing the game for a day on the new patch, holy hell is this better
The 0-24 lobbies were.. let's not be afraid to say this, a farm for boss farmers and ego boosters
And the diff in gear in 0-125 is not even that big, killing geared players is not an issue there even in squire kit, at least for me
This also improved the continuous dungeon system, as due to gear less people die early, thus it fills less people in

Trying out green gear and going to higher lobbies instantly meant playing against way better players. Now you're in lobbies where it's still basically squire lobbies except you can use your green gear. also this is coming from someone who legitimately only played squire lobbies. Now I can finally use better gear and get into it more. I honestly enjoy this a lot more. Reminds me more of when I first played during the playtest and the game was super hype and fun

So basically it's a punishing system. If you're u bring something into the dungeon and die, you lose those items. You can buy them back from the goblin merchant IF Noone loots those items in the game. If not, you lose those items. The only way to keep items is in your stash.

It's to make it so you build gear around your good stuff you have and it's a high risk high reward system. You never own your items. You only borrow them and try to make profit.

Unless you're in arena and mint your gear which is when you craft or find it with that character

I didn't say anything in regards to these dumb changes that's been made, just that you're over reacting a bit about doom saying the game. Its early access and they're using it as such, nothing is set in stone and they'll mess with whatever knobs to achieve the goal they're after. The balance and current changes are definitely off base from what the community wants its just also not a finished game so we don't really know whats planned down the road they're trying to account for with these current changes or current balance decisions. Fr Tarkov did it and i got into the PvP side because i became more confident from playing PvE i knew the maps and certain loot locations and i was able to memorize where player spawns were from playing so much of the PvE.

People complaining about losing because "muh gear score" don't realize that gear has a minimal effect on outcome and that skill is everything. Don't wanna lose to people? Yes i stayed -24 most of the time because questing and it was the most even playing field. Is that a problem? absolutely not. this is a real question man, I don't have the full answer but in fact it hasnt change as much as you feel rn. Lemme explain : before you could bring your friend, staying in -24 (and hoping to dodge the sweaty 500 fame like me) and your friend was like "oh ok, that's a nice game there buddy", but then, after escaping and going into 124 you faced the exact same situation. So go back into-24, and eventually your friend got stuck long enough (this game is hard, especially if you start now that it has already more than 1 year) into -24 to be demotivate and leave. The real reason, it seems to me, is that ironmace introduced a new online player selection system with the distribution of egs (50k), but they did not calculate that the casuals did not need their game and online returned to the standard (5k), as a result, so that players would not connect to the same the same dungeon 5 times in a row, removed a couple of lobby levels. The developers screwed up once again and instead of rolling back random dungeons, they decided to continue pissing on the opinion of the players, nothing new.

true damage does not care about hit location modifiers. Hitting someone in the leg would usually give you less than 1 damage per weapon/additional damage. True damage goes through armour rating and doesnt care where you hit thats the benefit but it never can increase. For instance a guy with no helmet being hit in the head with plus 1 additional damage will take 1.5 extra damage but the same situation with true instead of additional he will take 1 extra damage. Same situation but with a hit to the hand and true damage does an extra one damage while additional damage does 0.5. If this is wrong someone please reply

It’s a work in progress but repeating this is pointless for guys like you. It’s not unheard of for the meta to change in games. We have seen many changes with improvements and sometimes over balancing. Which by the way has been intentional as well but it seems you do not read the notes.

For example the latest patch has improved skills for classes who do not use these skills often. They are now considering making unused skills viable. This is a good idea and excellent offer for more diverse competitive matches.

I believe sometimes people complain because “your class main” did not get attention this patch and now you are upset. Is it not tiring complaining all the time without any real input?

Write support tickets, give ideas, engage in the community that wants to see the game grow. Stop holding everyone back and try to enjoy the game you are very addicted to.

I will take that fight 20 times over thats great for me and exactly what my team looks for every time. " We don’t want the default decision for players to simply run headlong into battle. Therefore, we have decided to test the removal of the lower gear-score lobbies in their respective Normal and HR matchmaking pools"

learn to run away? spacing and general movement is like 70% of the skill expression in this game, I really don't think a lot of these complaints are reasonable (including emote nonsense like above)
