This is how I usually play Faustian: s2r, I kill 7-9 mobs + destroy 7-8 crates, at that point I remove all equip and start run around the map naked and emoting farts and dances. Whoever kills me or tries to kill me as a silly dancing farting skeleton will become my first target

I can tell you from experience the following

All basic mobs
0 Affinity (All varieties non red)

Mummy Spider (S tier. You are very difficult to hit if you jump spam and wiggle. Jump bites do a lot of damage. You can hide in A LOT of spots. You make ZERO noise when still. Absolutely fun even if you die quick. Red versions are even better.)
Zombie (F Tier. Way too slow. No health. You glow and cannot hide. Annoyingly long reset after attacks. Tied with slime as worst mob out of all of them.)
Skeletons (Archer B Tier, A Tier once you learn how to aim (takes a while)./Sword versions are C tier depending on if you can bait well with the fake death)
Wolves (B Tier, you can dodge a lot and make ZERO noise when holding shift. However, you glow and cannot hide in the dark)
Kobolds (D borderline F tier. Weak shot range as archer. One tapped when not red. Slow recovery and terrible overall)
Slimes (F Tier. Way too slow. Constantly emits a noise. Does barely anything. Tied with Zombie for worst mob.)
Tidespear Fish dudes (S Tier on the spearmen, you run INSANELY fast, and even faster when using a speed shrine. You outpace EVERYTHING .. C Tier on the mace because they're really annoyingly slow. Every time you jump you make a glubbing noise, so you can spam jump and be CRAZY loud)

Around 25 affinity I started getting red versions of the above.

42 Affinity unlocks the minibosses.

Mage (All Maps. A tier. Not S because you can easily get killed by your own blast, however there are some spots you can get into that make you a pseudo artillery. You're also insanely slow, and useless in water)
Skeleton Champion (All Maps. D Tier. You go way too slow, your animations for hitting are insanely slow. You have majorly nerfed health and can get mika vista one tapped . Not worth it other than scaring people.)
Cockatrice (Ruins. C Tier. You have nerfed health. You have no abilities but sleep. You're really slow and very noisy. Knockback can be fun, and fighting in the dark with this can make you a menace, but it's just meh to me.)
Yeti (Ice Map. C Tier. Only slightly better than champ. You are really slow, however, you can fling people into the abyss which sometimes redeems it.)
Centipede (Goblin Caves. B tier, only A when red version. Health is too low, Divebombing into partys fighting and dropping the acid puddle is fun. Other than that, it's way too noisy and slow to do much.)
Shark (Malestrom. S+ tier. You can go on land. You don't do a lot of damage, but it's the absolute funnest miniboss to play and you can spam your right click to look like a dork.)

I'm currently at 125ish affinity. Once I get 150 I will see if that affects it more, However, currently I roll miniboss more often when I do a quick death in the beginning before most of them would have been aggroed
2) Average miniboss seems to be about 15ish percent of my bargains. I've noticed I am the shark a lot more on malestrom.

Note you can go lower and become mobs in crypts/hell+ however I've not done it enough to give perfect calculations of what you can/cannot roll in the lower levels. These are what I have personal experience with.

Things I haven't rolled but think you can:
Centaur (Miniboss)
Wraith (I think i rolled this once. Cannot remember 100%)

What I know you CANNOT roll:
Anything flying
The sandworm.
Mummies
Major Bosses

What I think you cannot roll:
Any miniboss/mob that has been aggroed or focused. I haven't ever rolled a miniboss that was out of their "zone".

Yesterday I spawned as skeleton swordsman from a position a shouldn't. I spawned laying on the ground on the middle of the bridge in ruins next to the skeleton archer that is on top of the bridge. And both the golem and the 2 living statues were still non triggered. so it was either a bug or sometimes we become an "extra" mob for no reason as the map was running since 2-3minutes so there were still plenty of other skeletons I could've become

I like to use it the moment I get hit by a ranged attack. People are less likely to double-tap/loot if you aren't already at their feet. Doubly true if theres already a fight happening or soon to happen.

I think it’s pretty trash most of the time. It’s incredibly loud, has a long animation, and a wait before you can attack. I prefer to stay by other Skellies and pretend to blend in or be away from a fight but close. Like fighting across bridge at ruins, stay on the other side so you can attack someone coming up the stairs. Someone always drops

It's also an okay way to reset if you decide to run away, or hide amongst other skeleton bodies. It's loud sure, but its pretty common to 'activate' npc skeletons as you run through rooms, so most people won't think twice about it.

It's not gonna lead to insane plays or anything, but being clever and patient with it can put you in pretty fun positions and opportunities.

I had one match yesterday where we had a whole faustian group collapse on two teams that was fighting around the circle border. I decided to charge in first, feigned as soon as someone landed a bolt shot on me. then the moment he turned his back I got right back up and shwacked him. Highlight of my night.

At least with faustian I can dive headfirst into fights to get a better feel of the flow of combat, not even remotely worried about if I die, leading to me being quite chill about the enraging experience i'm about to endure. Cause I get to play as a silly skeleton that feigns death right after as my reward

Faustian Bargain is only enabled in Normals (1-2-3) and Squires Royale (3) modes at the moment.
There are also other requirements

1. There must be available mobs
2. There must still be players alive
3. You must have gathered sufficient points

So while I understand that death is inevitable, anyone find it strange that in order to do faustian bargain (and therefore the dealmaker's quests) you have to lose matches?
The fact that people actively doing those quests are going in, farming points, and then intentionally dying is really strange behavior to reward

I think that this is the current system, but I hope that it will one day become its own queue, where you won't have to farm for points and spend half the match on points gathering #sdfs-kitchen message

I think the idea isn't that you're supposed to intentionally farm dying. Even if you do, you're sacrificing a lot of potential gear you've looted for the tokens which won't buy nearly as many gear pieces, and just like buying from the huntress there's no guarantee that they'll even have good rolls.

So people intentionally dying is a strange behavior. If anything they're forcing theirselves into consolation prizes or farming TikTok views via faustian shenanigans.

It's their loss, really. They're just serving as loot delivery services to whoever kills them.

Lol, relax. This mode is forbiden. Nothing has changed from last season and in last season there was only subboss nerf. For half of the year they still didnt fix stairs climbing for mobs and spawn in closed rooms. So yeah, this mode looks dead.

i like this system but it needs some love. i know its secondary to the main game, but a decent amount of effort went into creating it so surely it won't be removed like... multiclass :(

locked in place when attacking and also being slower than players isn't fun. no amount of baiting works when a player that knows your mobs attack pattern. raising affinity to get common skeleton every time makes raising seem pointless, getting a subboss every time would be unreasonable so maybe after unlocking every mob you can only get elites+? there should be a reason to play other than the 3 dailies, the only reason to play after finishing those is to troll but that gets boring
