So far I hadn’t noticed anything different, except that the Kikua Sho (which I always have some trickiness with) was a bit trickier, and the Ura Finale Final had a huge difficulty curve that nearly beat me down (granted, I forgot to get skills before starting it). 10th, 6th, and then 1st.
I’m expecting level 4 difficulty to be where I start noticing it in the rest of the career.

That big number at the end is already with the doubling. Easy to spot if you sometimes run regular 30 energy runs, because you don't have enough energy to start a 60 energy run, but also so much that you would waste some by overfilling the bar by the time you are able to open the game again.
I'll probably go a bit easier on Fuji's event. I'm already kinda tired from farming 1M event points, and now they want me to go crazy with careers again, when I was hoping to chill out for a while.

Some need to run a Junior G1 race in December, like Vodka. If you stuff your deck with some low-level R cards, you might not earn 1000 fans needed to participate in it, even if you win the maiden race. Otherwise, Mejiro McQueen or Oguri Cap have fan thresholds at the end of year one that require running in optional races, even if you win maiden race with good cards.

Every Uma has a small chance after races/training of getting fast learner, which reduces all skill costs by 10% (and doesn’t count as a hint level so the hint levels stack on it).
Some umas also have a trainee event that has a small chance of granting it to them. Doesn’t look like Rice is one though.
