Don't worry too much about main skill sparks. Only a few of them are worth inheriting, since they become a weaker version while still having those ultra-specific triggers
The best ones are apparently Mejiro Ryan's Let's pump some iron, Maruzensky Red Shift and Taiki's Shooting for victory, all being consistently good for all horses and with ~3 times the effectiveness of others
Then there's some that can be good if the horse runs similar styles and races, like Rudolf's or Bakushin's upgraded skill or Teio's
