the "issue" is simply that Archipelago might stop supporting uncompressed websockets

until they actually do that, nothing will break, so yes it's a "non-issue" for players

personally I think they handled that warning about the worst possible way; nearly everyone who sees it has no idea what to do with it and can't help with any of the work to fix it, and most of the violaters are already public knowledge among AP devs (i.e. basically every .Net game including both of mine)

the main breaking change that was in 0.6.2 is the minimum version number for clients to report when connecting, which exposed a number of bugs and outdated clients/libraries

that sounds right, I believe breakables have a fixed number of hits they take regardless of your damage upgrades, and the chests which only drop money in vanilla are considered checked locations the moment they break open (as opposed to the chests which drop items)

For further elaboration on this, this was a feature I suggested on the Poptracker discord because I didn't want to do the way of having extra locations for hints because 1.) that's way more work for me and 2.) it's buggy in every pack I have seen. The highligh system is way better IMO, and about 10 lines of code to add support for in a pack

There are a few side branches in rando

#

It's not as bad a turtle rock where there's like 8 keys and you need zero to get to the boss if you have the boss key and magic rod already

So what I have been doing for my dungeons is if I know a key will lead only to checks, I'll do a save and quit at the start, go get those checks, reset without saving, then go use the key toward beating the dungeon

I forgot to do this in Dark Palace this time around in SMZ3, and I also forgot to do it in Key CAvern

#

But I did all of Face Shrine and Tail Cave this way

It's also a lot easier in LADX because if you S+Q there it puts you back in the dungeon when you load in whereas in SMZ3 you start back in SM
