Polling is when the driver asks the tablet what its state is. When you're drawing you want lots of polling because that means it's checking where the pen is a lot. But when you're not drawing, it can use a lot of cpu that you might want to be using for other things, like games.

The pixel remaster is closest to the original while still being a modern update. And it's made in Unity which should make it decently easy to make a randomizer. The only problem is the legacy of options that you'd have to remake from the current randomizer.

@rare oxide Got your stupid legs upgrade. Had to find spells items and do stupid rewind manipulation to get my guys to live long enough to actually kill the pirates. Because the only attack they had was an earth element instant death attack with 90% chance to hit. The only thing in the game that defends against it is the ribbon.

Not that this is a big deal unless you're an apworld dev, buuuuuuut that's not quite right. This is mixing up... well AP has no terms for this, which is probably why it's confusing, but I like to say "item types" and "individual items". Item flags such as progression, useful and trap apply to individual items, not the whole type. Hints and other features that care about item (type) names simply don't care about these flags and aren't affected by them varying.

As a concrete example: in AHiT "Time Piece" is an item type, but the .apworld makes some of the Time Pieces progression and some progression_skip_balancing, and it even has a TimePieceBalancePercent .yaml option for you to change the ratio.

I don't know about requesting hints, but you can open the text client and log in on a different computer and see what people are sending and receiving.

Yeah, that’s kinda what I’m getting from the doc. It’s looking like I’d have to log in -as a player- to read this info like this. I don’t know that I’d be able to log in as the same player (team, slot, it looks like?) twice - one for this reader service and one for playing the game.

Flower quest is not so bad once you have a protocol for it

#

You can clear enemies on the way and then take the flower. The quest then boils down to one tricky jump at the end

well that was interesting, i got sucked off of ash twin by the sand column just as it ran out, so it ended up slingshotting me into a fast orbit around the sun that i couldn't escape in my suit thrusters from, but the orbit was so fast that i didn't die to the sun until after it had already supernova'd, so it didn't trigger a deathlink
