Alrighty, so, review time.

First, the Ice Chapter. MUCH better than the Fire Chapter in terms of plot, I felt (despite the odd filler episode here and there). There wasn't as much comedy as the Fire Chapter, but whenever there was, it was funny. Characterization was spot-on, and I LOVED the twists.

And now, for the season as a whole, I liked it! I'd actually rank it over S10 and (mostly) S5 in terms of quality and enjoyment, even if the plot for half of it was a bit slow and light. It's a great first impression from the new studio, and hopefully future seasons will improve even more!

Current season ranking: S9 >>> S8 > S3 > S6 > S11 (Ice) > S5 > S11 (Fire) > S10 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> S2 > S1 > S4 > S7

Okay...so I just found a hilarious mistake while rewatching Season 1. You know the Episode Green Ninja? Well the ninja call out their elements as they use them during the Serpentine fight, But Jay calls out Wind! and uses a Wind tornado that shoots out of his hand.....Like what?!

Alrighty, my customary season review and ranking!

Season 12...is fun. The fact that it's set in a video game universe made it possible for the animators to have a lot more freedom and fun with how the action went, allowing them to even add more gruesome scenes that normally wouldn't be in the show. Plus, the emotions and side-characters were fantastic, and were easily the best part of the season. Comedy was good too, as usual.

It did have a few weak links in an otherwise solid chain, though. The villain was weak, the plot was pretty weak too, and some of the episodes were a bit slow and filler-y (especially the dance-off episode, which, despite the 11-minute runtime, somehow went on for too long and got very annoying with the announcer never shutting up). As such, while it was a fun and good season, it unfortunately falls short of the Ice Chapter's greatness.

Neither of these design changes are explained in the show but Tommy Andreasen said the reason for this change is that "the on-screen Bounty looks like the one which is currently available to obtain and play with".[10] This may indicate that, like the ninja's design changes for Season 8, there is no real explanation for this within the world of the show.

Also, if this intro is any indication of how this season's gonna go (adventuring far below the misty mountains cold through dungeons deep and caverns old), I'm gonna be in for a good time.
