I do think it's always more impressive when someone learns a language with a completely different alphabet just because of how much extra work it is
You never really conceptualize how weird the latin alphabet must look to someone who doesn't speak it like a japanese person just like how japanese text is undecipherable for me

Real gun ownership in Japan is pretty difficult. Personal defense firearms aren't really a thing. You have to either live in a rural enough place that a gun for hunting or animal defense is reasonable, or be a competition shooter. Then your gun must be locked separate from your ammo and you are subject to mandatory government inspections of your weapon at least once a year where they will track what ammo you have, see if there is evidence of the gun being fired, and if it has been fired you have to be able to answer for every shot you took.

It’s because artists over-exaggerate proportions to make most characters taller and the rest shorter with massive heads

It's not really to make characters taller specifically, but they do have massive heads and very very narrow shoulders, which is because most of the models in Hololive have vaguely the same moe anime artstyle, any taller characters just kind of have extremely long legs like Kronii and slightly longer bodies, but it still looks pretty strange because the proportions are all over the place
It's especially apparent in any character that is trying to go for a more mature look but because they have all those characteristics it just doesn't come across at all, like Calli who's supposed to have this more mature 'older sister' type look but the body and head size just kinda works against that it just doesn't really come across that well
I end up liking the fanart interpretations of the characters a lot lot more, the illustration for one of Calli's songs comes to mind, I think they nail how she's '''''supposed'''' to look really well here
