I did a deep dive on the two possible case models the upcoming Hololive collab case and unfortunately it looks like they'd be poor fits for my system. Both are designed and intended for liquid cooling, especially for the GPU. The GPU can only be mounted vertically in these cases, which is why they come with a PCIe riser, and with how thick cards are nowadays, most air-cooled cards would be kissing the glass if not having only a couple centimeters of clearance for airflow. My CPU would be okay because it's already cooled by a liquid AIO but the potential damage to my GPU is something I'm not willing to hazard, oshi be damned.
I have seen multiple pictures of people with typical air-cooled GPUs in these cases and they seem all right and the reviews are good, but my current case is just so much better in terms of layout. To quote GamersNexus, "With some care, it can be made good, but you should not use an air-cooled card in this case."

I agree with the manufacturer and GN that say the case is fantastic... for specific use cases it was designed for, but not for the average person doing more typical builds or looking to transplant a typical build to this case.

In some measure on the business side, I get it. Navigating procuring equipment and properties in different countries is one hell of an undertaking, is absolutely a money sink until you work like hell to make the investment worth it. Then, with investments, you of course need to make your investors and accountants see a money sink as worth it, as investors want a return and accounting doesn't want to report a smaller amount in the coffers at the end of the quarter.

It has been bothersome to me to see how little attention the holostars get or the much fewer resources. I've seen projections that some en members really weren't making much more than I currently do, and I don't get a lot

like why not have a studio in a box with mocap suits, lighthouses/cameras, etc and make it so they can coordinate and put one up as needed, where it's needed?

I know my idea that I have is a nameless soldier, bound to his purpose by a dark goddess. I've found vtuber stories work well when they're half-written, and a backdrop for your current activities. The idea being the character motive explains what you do and will do in the future
A professor would be so cool! You could really lean into that
