I've thought about this, and I have a hypothesis
"Thank you" is an easy fallback phrase I see a lot of Japanese English learners use because it's simple and has a generally positive connotation, even if it isn't the "correct" thing to say at the time.
"Forever" was likely confused for another word or phrase indicating a lot of something or a positive extreme like "so much" or "absolutely".
What Korone might have been aiming at in her head may have been "Oh, I'm dead now. Thanks so much for playing" like on a game show but the challenge was to say everything in English, she had a limited time to speak because of the nature of the game, so Korone's brain brute forced out an English sentence.
