The only way this shuckle is going to struggle is if the pokemon is grass type, or has sap sipper

Their health pool is stupid low, so leach seem a majority of the time is going to basically full heal them

i need some tips for starting a classic game in pokerogue

ok, so first off: don't immediately gun for a run to win: you're just looking to collect as many pokemon as possible and get as many tickets as possible

tickets give eggs, which can give egg moves, better ivs and natures, and most importantly, shinies

second, your rival tends to stick with a theme of some kind, where the first time you meet it's just a random starter and a regional bird of some kind: each time you meet them, they always add 1 new pokemon to their team which can be basically anything, but they will always have (and lead) with their starter, at least 2 dragon types by the end, the same bird they started with, and the rest is pretty wide in variety

but that's more so "nitpicking on the rival" more-so than "offering helpful advice to go far in classic"

things to note: always get tickets if they're offered among other "meh" item choices, if you're playing on browser, you can reload the tab if you so wish to effectively "reset what can be done" (everything tends to be the exact same in outcome if you do this, be it failed pokeball throws, missing moves, etc.), and if you're starting out, just catch as much as you can: you're not really looking to win with the bare minimum offered

You know, I just had a realization about this: all of the featured Pokémon (aside from eevee+sentret) would all be the second Pokémon (counting evo lines as a single mon in this case) to be "normal+[respective type]" (i.e. normal water would be bibarel specifically, normal electric would be the heliolisk line, and normal fire would the litleo line)

You know, an Ice type with Swift Swim doesn't make sense thematically, but in terms of gameplay, makes total sense!

that combined with its high attack and coverage options like Close Combat and Earthquake does help Rain teams quite a bit (Along with the obvious Ice type)
