Thanks. I'm out for a walk. Of course now I have a better idea for that achievement. When I get back I'll test to see how much damage my 40 warrior does for those bosses and make adjustments. Next week I'll bring them and help you two get get the achievement on those characters. Someone can bring in an alternative character to help my main character get the achievement later.
There are other older raids that have achievements that require at least two people so I don't know if you guys want to do those as well. We can split it up to make it to where we can just do one meta achievement at a time so one week we can finish one raid then another week we can finish another raid. Up to you guys.
I think Siege of Ogrimmar requires at least four people for one of the achievements. Maybe it was five, but I don't remember exactly
Then there's also the dungeon achievements. Some do require having at least two people so if anyone needs those as well

It must work like raid tiers. If you do say 2 bosses on LFR then 2 on heroic, the lfr rewards get replaced by heroic I think
So it depends of how mch of what you do changes what your rewards are. But so far, M+ was the only way to get any rewards on that "track" (raid, M+ and PVP). This allows lower alts or people gearing up (i'd assume at 70) to still get rewards

So, I found out there is one more achievement for the pandaria that requires being a class that can summon some form of pet (or monk statue) or requires at least one other person. It's easy with people and it's the boss right after the one we tried. So we should be able to knock that out next week as well. It's called "Sorry, Were You Looking For This?"
Don't forget to do the timegated one sometime this week (requires 3 weeks). It's called "Power Overwhelming." I'll also make sure you guys get the pug achievement off the first boss next time.
Wait guys. We're being silly. The Glory Achievements ARE account wide. What isn't is the progress for one achievement. So if an achievement is timegated (like Power Overwhelming) you'll need to do that one on one character. We can do the other achievements this week on other characters and try again and it'll share across all characters if we complete them.

I only know because I spammed LFG to level up in Wrath through like cata and got that 100 times 
For Maraudon specifically they already have the last part (the best part) split into it's own, starting with jumping down the gorgeous waterfall, fighting through hydras and going to the Princess.
And I already have an idea of how they could incorporate it into the M+ pool (minus changing mechanics for boss/trash fights) There's a cove that leads to the Princess room that's open but there's an optional boss fight before then with a giant rock elemental named Landslide or something. He has a quaking mechanic already that shakes the ground. So what if the cove to the Princess was blocked by bolders and rocks and could be shook and loosened after defeating the giant rock elemental that causes a landslide when it falls to the ground, making an opening.
And the princess doesn't have to be the last boss like it was originally either. The platform she's on is above a giant crocodile boss, so perhaps it could fall apart after defeating her, making the group fall down into the icy cold waters below to face the true final boss.
Only problem with that is that fighting in the water feels weird and bad

Fair enough. I do like BFD (can't remember name of bosses at all even after doing it a lot - but that's true for even places like BRD, Mara, Strath, Scholo - I'm just terrible at remembering names). I just like the look and feel of the dungeon. The last part is pretty neat with the cultists and broken pillars leading into the faction's leader. Then clicking on the things to light them up and open a secret passageway to a hydra boss is/was very cool for the time. There was also an optional boss underneath the place in the water that not everyone knew about.
I can draw the layout for all these places (even WC) but I couldn't tell you boss names. I can barely remember Rivendare for goodness sake.
But if you showed me an item with blurred out stats I could tell you what stats they have but not the name of the item if you reversed it.

I would consider picking up D4 and it would be worth it then but unless I can find people to play with I'd probably get bored of it fast. My friends have no interest in it and we didn't progress far into other games like it such as PoE.

The problem is more the endgame and the grind and loot and whatnot - overall design issues rather than performance. But as I said, they've taken a fuckton of feedback and applied it to S2 (S1 was build alongside the game so they had no changes for that). Bigger changes might rrequire an xpac level of changes but so far they're doing good work with s2 from what it looks like

And yeah. S2 is the usual seasonal content type thing. I'd advise maybe get the game beforehand in order to level a character through the story - you don't get the campaign skip otherwise for S2. Also an early "grind" is the renown? Similar to the rep grinds but you do it from quests/dungeons/strongholds/etc. Enough renown give you more skill points/paragon points/etc. Same with the lilith statues

I haven't kept track of Microsoft games besides Halo, which has pretty bad microtransactions but the multiplayer is "free."
Anyway, I'm hopeful that at least the short term experience will be positive, but that's not saying much given how hard it is to be worse than ABK. However, I have my doubts long term but we'll have to wait and see!

Made it to KSH! I would like maybe 1 or 2 +20 key teleports? A +20 VP or NL would be nice. VP for mount farming and NL because it's in a really annoying far-out location. But otherwise my main grind this season is done I think. I don't see a big point in decking out an alt when the next season is starting out with 447 gear.

So, the beacon trinket is extremely busted in timewalking. It does 20-30% of a bosses HP or it can one shot mobs in decently large groups. I have it on a couple alts and it's crazy. It's insane that it can one shot Legion bosses too since some of the bosses take me at least 5 seconds on my geared warrior to take down
And it's really nice for Legion bosses too since it resets after downing a boss
It's basically the equivalent of that one GM chest piece that can one shot anything within a certain radius.
They removed/nerfed the item since a GM accidently gave it to a player sometime in 2011...? I believe.

There's some old "un-obtainable" items from the OLD SM that are dropping from those dungeons. Now is the time to farm them a tiny bit to get some of the scarlet pieces and sell them before the masses catch wind. Maybe pick up the Scarlet Belt and sell it for 100k or something "cheap" or what would have been cheap before this patch and hope some buyer doesn't know.

The Headless Horseman hardmode achievement is super easy. Just avoid more stuff than usual and kill an extra add that spawns.
Not sure if it's a coincidence but my character that did the hardmode got the scarlet key from the pumpkin

So the hard mode in Hallow's End does increase drop rates for rare loot! I didn't do it on my character who got the mount today but I got the key doing hard mode so there 100% is something to it!
It's super easy on a range character or healer
Need a tiny bit of gear though, not huge just a little bit

Not sure if it's possible to. I saw that the chest at the end of SM Lib only shows up once ever per account for that key.
They made the herod set from SM Arm plate! So for warrior's can snag the transmog.
Scarlet set is still mail though. But shoulders/helm are plate instead of mail like they were in classic.
I think the key may be a once only from the event too and only on hard mode.

The scarlet key 100% only drops from Hallow's End once. Make sure if you get it not to sell it! You can get one from the event, use it. Then get one more from Scarlet Library to sell.
People are not sure if Blizzard is planning on letting SM Old remain after the event, or if it'll only show up during Hallow's End.

The most clutch key for a +20 had like... 3...? 2...? seconds left. It was last season. I think it was Halls of Valor if I remember right.
I think the two best keys to get a +20 in this season is for sure NL and FH. Both are such a pain to fly to or get to as horde. I'm sure they'll remove the easy portal from Val to FH next season. 😦

Legendaries become obsolete each patch cycle anyway. So by the time you get them you don't really get to enjoy them very long. Unless you're just insanely lucky and get one early.
Mounts and dragonriding skin are cool though. I'm almost tempted to try mythic raiding this coming patch just for the new druid dragonriding flight form you can get from the last boss.

So, I tried for it on my evoker, never got it. Then later I saw what you had to do after getting the initial quest from the last boss and was like "no thanks..."
If they're going to have a long quest chain, and expensive mats you need to get to make it, they shouldn't make the stupid thing extremely RNG based too.
I still got to get the healer legendary from Ulduar at some point. I'm missing a few fragments
Then the Cataclysm staff that comes with a mount!

The only Legendaries I've got are the Legion ones everyone picked up, though I have a few of the harder to get skins for them.
I do have one very rare Mage staff tho.

Man, the legendaries in Legion are probably the best iteration of legendaries in this game, minus the extreme RNG and praying you get the ones you want of course... There's just something about a legendary giving you something extra that can change up you rotation that feels great. Although a majority of the legendaries were not very great, even at times feeling awful for getting (looking at you absorb damage neck), there were a lot of spec specific ones that were amazing and a lot of fun to play with.
I will say that although I hated the extreme RNG for them, they did feel very good to get at the least expected time.
I'm sure there's a balance to be had there.

The heroic mega dungeon gives 402 pieces now, which is a +13 ilvl higher than the other heroic dungeons so that'll give 437 pieces next patch in theory, which is insane since it's really easy on heroic.
At that ilvl you can do RF shadowlands raids solo

Ehh, not worth the effort I think. That's for one piece. If you do the heroic mega dungeon you can get the pieces upgraded to 411 using the flightstones and crests you get as well as getting splinters EVERY boss if it's on a fresh alt.
Actually I guess combining it with dreamsurge is a good idea. If you do the mega dungeon until you get all the splinters you can, you'll probably have 3-4 pieces. From there I suppose filling out with the cheap 402 dreamsurge pieces as well as 424 crafted gear is the way to go.
Then when the new patch hits, spam the heroic dungeon again for 437 gear and start working on M+

The weekly thing is mostly worth it. I think you pick up the quest from hamuul and do 3 world quest in the dreamsurge zone, and bam, you get the 1 big token/currency to exchange for the 415 piece
Same with the timerift, pick up the quest and just wait until you kill the boss, guaranteed 402 piece there. It's not great but it's super easy stuff

I think folks misread them. They're upset that there was zero way to catch up to alts, if your main has all the crests. The "1 week away from the release of 10.2" is more a lament that Blizz let this go unfixed for so long.
It definitely wasn't worded well, but I think people are too fixated on 10.2 & missing the point they were making.

Their complaint was that they can't get alts geared up, but M+ 17s basically won't let anyone in unless they're fully geared. So they don't get to run their alts.
The complaint is about no way for alts to gear up from your main's crests.

Because the grind to get them back up to "current" is fucking exhausting.
Plus, if your alt is undergeared, 10.2 isn't really going to fix that. It's going to mean dying a lot to the new mobs in the grind to get re-geared just so you can start grinding the new currencies.
It's one reason I just don't really play much anymore. I feel like my main was the only one worth playing, because trying to grind up my alts was just dull.

And it's not because it's underground that I hate (I loved BRD and Mara), it's just... so dull looking and depressing.

Standard Flying is decent if you just want to spend time gathering, or want to point in one direction and go make a cup of tea while you travel.

But I'll make two points here: 1) you can gather while on your dragonriding mount and regain vigor. 2) You can ascend to a high elevation, put your character at a downward angle and still make a cup of tea (I suppose you'd get there faster and may overshoot by the time you get back so point taken if you want to use regular flying for that.)

I hope if they do a Classic+ that they rework some raid/dungeon loot where they make most of the pieces that drop viable to use, because there's a TON of terrible pieces. Don't need to add new pieces, just change up the stats a bit. Because it's pretty bad when you have to fight 30 other people for one trinket or weapon. Especially when the bosses drop like... what? 3-4 pieces?
For classes/specs, they don't need to change many at all. They just need to fix some mana issues, give paladins a hard taunt and... yeah.

Anyway: go to the vendor in the graveyard, buy a Marigold and the recipe for Bread of the Dead. Go to a cooking vendor, buy flour, then go to a barkeep and buy milk.
Go back to the Day of the Dead vendor, there should be some blue flames nearby. You have to cook the bread at that. Then use the flower, you'll see an NPC with a quest, take the quest then turn it in. Done, 100 Tender.

I lost interest right after Naxx finished up during Classic. I didn't do TBC originally but for some reason I wasn't feeling it. Same for Wrath. Might come back if Classic + is a thing but it really depends.

I started at the end of Vanilla, didn't hit 60 until after TBC launched, didn't hit 70 until Wrath launched. I did hit the Wrath endgame, but missed out on Naxx. Spent quite a while with the Tournament and that stuff tho.

I came in... end of TBC, didn't really play until Wrath and didn't do any raids until the Tournament came around but I didn't do the quests in that area for mounts or anything (I think I probably had(maybe still have in a small way) ADHD) so you can imagine trying to get me to keep my attention on the same quests for a month or on end

But I was pretty young, so casual stuff like that bored me. Now... I'm all for it!

They make renown account wide and keep dragonriding for the next expansion out the gate and I'm in.

If you get to 25 with the centuar factions (already forgot the name, apologies it's been a minute) you can get the secret and in my opinion best flying mount of the expansion.
You turn into the mount, so it's a double win.
You will have to do at the very least the normal version of that one dungeon to get some items off the last boss, but that's simple enough these days. It just takes time.
Everything else about it is relatively quick and simple
I did mention this a while ago, but to be fair that was like... probably 8 or so months ago at this point? So apologies for bringing it up once more if you remembered it.

Also, if you're still interested in getting that ruby serpent mount from the MOP achievements I can help out there too still. It's not hard, but it does take a little bit of time and maybe an attempt or two (ask Tcher ). One or two of the achievements can be a little finicky (buggy - mostly in the bug raid ).

10.2 content should be easier than 10.1 which means gearing out in 10.2 will make 10.1 easier.
I'll tell ya. That even at 445 ilvl doing 10.1 content felt slow at times.
They gave some mobs too much health and absorb shields...
60% of the 10.1 zone is group content but nobody does it so it's great! 😃😴
