Well, you could just buy a sub and play the game up to level 60 to see if you like it first, you technically don't need the expansion unless you want to go straight to the new expansion stuff as a dracthyr or something.

But yes, that is how that works if you want to have everything available to you.

Once you get established and play the game for a few months you should be able to buy a sub using in-game gold eventually if you play regularly.

Or if you somehow manage to convince some friends to join you, you could siphon subs off of them through the recruit a friend system.

I love how as a Dracthyr I can cheat with the dragon glyphs and use soar to grab them if I run out of vigor before I reach them.

I've yet to come across a graphical issue. The worst I've had as the cursor getting locked; meaning I couldn't click on anything. I've since fixed that (I think) by changing it from windowed mode to windowed mode (full screen).

Okay, so I wasn't just having trouble on my Rogue, certain enemies just hit fucking hard.

I'm running my Mage through the first quests and had zero trouble right up until ||the Primalists infusing dragon eggs with elements, and having to kill the whelps||. Some of the enemies there just deal insane damage with their attacks.

Dragonriding is so good that I want them to extend it to old world content and have glyphs found elsewhere; like the temples of Storm Peaks. Those relics could count towards an achievement that unlocks new dragonriding mounts, skins, transmog, titles, ect... My only concern is that I'll rarely be using my regular flying mounts anymore.

What they need is a way to apply Dragonriding to our old mounts. They won't be customizable, but they'd be awesome with that flyjng system.

If you've done the BfA achievements on Horde, you should be able to go right to the Embassy in Stormwind and start the recruitment.

Dark Iron Dwarves just require the first Ready for War achievement, the Kul Tiran Humans require the same stuff as the Zandalari Trolls.

Lightforged Draenai and Void Elves require doing the whole Argus storyline from Legion. Mechagnomes require doing the Mecagon storyline.

As an example, I did the BfA Ready for War achievement on an Alliance character, and I have the option to unlock Mag'har Orcs on Horde even though I haven't finished that achievment on that side.

The catch up is for your alts so they can catch up in renown when you play them later.

But it is a unique problem week 1 because mains haven't had the opportunity to pull ahead yet.

I'm not sure if any of y'all know, but I'll share this info anyways just in case, but I always recommend picking up inflatable Mount shoes. It'll make your mounts walk on water and travelling around is much easier when you're not having to slowly push through water.
They tend to be pretty cheap on AH, but can be made with a profession I believe (wanna say engineering or blacksmith?)

Ugh, work got busy and I realized I was writing a novel, so the short version:

Neltharion was the Black Dragon Aspect & as part of that title he was the Earth Warden, charged with protecting the land & the deep places within.

But the Old Gods had been trapped deep in Azeroth by the Titans, because they couldn't be destroyed. Over time, the Old Gods corrupted Neltharion, offering him power.

In his madness, he tricked the other Aspects into giving up part of their power and claimed it for himself, renaming himself Deathwing and unleashing the madness of the Old Gods on the rest of the Black Dragonflight. A few managed to escape to Draenor, but the rest eventually succumbed to the curse and joined Deathwing in their war on the rest of the world.

Deathwing was eventually defeated and sealed away, until the events of the Cataclysm expansion pack.

So the only uncorrupted black dragons were in Outland (we found them in the Burning Crusade expansion), but not everyone believes they are actually uncorrupted.

During Cataclysm we find a black dragon egg & purify it, which hatches into Wrathion. Who proves to be a bit of a dick, but his heart is in the right place.

During Legion, we also find one other uncorrupted dragon: Ebyssian, who has been hiding out among the Highmountain Tauren. No idea how he escaped corruption.

tl;dr Most of the black dragons are bad, due to Lovecraftian horrors, but there's a few uncorrupted ones around now..

Shortly after the War of the Ancients, the tauren hero Huln Highmountain used the [Hammer of Khaz'goroth] to banish the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing from the Broken Isles. Afterward, Igrul the Scalebane and him came across a batch of black dragon eggs in the back of Neltharion's Vault. Igrul argued that they should all be destroyed, but Huln instead used the Hammer to purify one of the eggs, permanently freeing it from the corruption of the Old Gods. Soon, it hatched, and the black whelp emerged. Huln declared that he would call it "Ebonhorn" after its tiny black horns.

So when she is born, she will align with the Naaru to start a crusade of Light against the Void, due to all the trauma inflicted upon her by "evil," and that will rival the Legion's swath of destruction across the universe.||

There's been hints of this in other content, like the ||Mag'har orc recruitment scenario pointing out that the Light can be just as destructive as the Void if left unchecked||.

I think it started in either Rhonin's Shield or Grimtusk's hideaway. You do a quest chain up to unfreeze some Tuskarr then you get that quest. If you continue to follow through with it you get ANOTHER quest that's 1.5k rep!!

I think you need to have garrison level 3 to have the daily quests for Winter Veil to show up is the only thing

You do 4 daily quests > buy the present thing from the vendor > open and pray for good rng

I remember getting to garrison level 3 fast on alts by going around the jungle and picking up objects for garrison resources

but it's been a long time. All I know is I'll have to do so on my other 3 newer alts.

But! And this is a big but... Although the event has been around for several years now, who knows if it'll come back this year. I'd say hold your horses before getting alts caught up with the garrison leveling until we're 100% sure.

One mount on my server has gone for 200-300k. They might go for more off season, I haven't tried.

The bad news, is as you've said... there's a lot.

Try not to force yourself into wanting to do everything at once. If you find something you enjoy, stick to it, research it at your leisure and only move on to the next thing once you've had your fill of that piece of content.

Don't worry about being on a specific server. You can invite and see people from other servers and do most if not all group content; even if they're the opposite faction! The main things you can't do is trade normal items with them, gold and you can't join their guild.

Ya know. My biggest issue with this expansion is that I don't feel inclined to farm out mounts like I usually do. Dragonriding is so good that I don't want to use other mounts and I rarely go outside the new zones now. Rofl.

Only way they could get me is by making the 600 mount achievement a new dragonriding mount.

Dracthyr have bonus Perception, which means they have a higher chance of getting rares when Gathering. So anything that pairs well with Mining, Herbalism, Skinning, or Prospecting (Jewelcrafting).

If you're gonna do that, you may as well also swap out for the main crafting professions and get those to 50. I've heard you can do the quests for the rep again if you do so, meaning you could unlock the next +10 knowledge points sooner.

Curse this region nonsense. So because I lived in the US when WOW launched in 2004, I've always played on US servers. I don't want to do any of the transfers since career wise I might go back to the US at some point, but I am currently in the EU.

This... causes me problems. Because my bank is in the EU, on my bnet account my banking region is europe. So I pay in euro and such. However, if I wanted to buy a wow token and convert it... because of the region differences, since blizz isn't a bank, they can't do currency conversion. So I can't buy a token with gold and convert it to Blizz Balance and use it elsewhere

Similarly, the whole "buy epic edition of xpac now and then get blizz balance back when you upgrade to collector's edition" doesn't work because of that

That's quite the conundrum. I'm going to assume that with as many characters as you probably have, transferring, even with the discount, probably would be more expensive to do overall and not worth it unless you had millions of gold to convert.

And considering you'll probably be back in the US soon at some point, yeah I'd probably just sit tight and wait things out to be sure.

Oh, I see! That makes sense, I was wondering why a store pet was on there since I remember it being there a while back (I don't even remember the last time I looked at the store). I wasn't aware they removed it.

Btw, I'm pretty sure even with the increase to 35 for quests I'll still be too lazy to clear out my logs and end up needing to delete one at a time eventually.
